You're welcome.
Plz recommend a good brand and proper watt laser engraving machine for granite engraving grave stone pictures.
I learned something new! A new way to pronounce Granit not granight!🤯🛫
Where did you biy that grinite plTe
Great video. What about engraving Obsidium stone, I have tonnes of it here?
Thank you. I have never engraved obsidian yet, will post a video if I do it.
So I am using an Epilog 60 watt laser. I want to engrave the Welcome granite sign. Would I use a speed of 2100 mm/second? What would be your recommendation?
Thanks.
60W optical or suply power? It's very serious diference. All setting that are mentioned are for optical power.
My experience - milky white granite with medium size crystals directly without painting, 600mm/m 100% of 30W diode=2mm deep engraving. I do not advise anyone to cause such a load on the optical system of their laser. Regards.
I want to buy a laser engraving machine for black marble granite which brad and watts you will recommend for me.
For a good balance between the quality and budget, I would suggest
a 10W diode laser. The one I used in the video is Ortur LM3, but you can also explore other brands like Two Trees TS2 or xTool D1 pro.
If you plan to setup a business primarily focusing on engraving granite, then a CO2 laser would be a better choice as it produces better results with faster engraving speed.
Oil paint work instead matt finish?
I haven't tried yet. It might work.
What website do you use to make your design?
I primarily prefer using Photoshop, Illustrator, and LightBurn's inbuilt design tools for my projects. However, Imag-r is an online tool that I occasionally use for image preparation when significant modifications are not required.
Can one use Tempura paint instead of spray paint?
Yes, you can.
Yes, it should work
Those this method work on black tile
You do not need a transfer medium to engrave black tile.
White paint with titanium dioxide may work better.
I have talked about using white paint with titanium dioxide in my Laser Engraving Ceramic Tile video, and it produces excellent results. Haven't tried it on granite though. I think it can be a good idea for engraving on white or other light shades of granite.
Dude, i have an xtool d1 pro 20w and im not getting anywhere near those speeds. And ive cleaned and painted and everything.....i just dont get it.
The possible reason can be the difference in the type of granite. Like I mentioned in the video, I also found varying results for different batches of granite. While one needed 100% power for good engraving, other started to show good results at just 30% power. Which is why it is always best to perform a test run when you get a new piece of granite to work on.
@@MellowpineLasers the painted granite worked a lot better... Plus I realized that my protective lens was cracked, so once that's replaced I'll get cracking again
Hi very nice video,,but is it possible to talk a bit slower for those just starting out in lasering please,,👍
Consider CZcams playback at 0.75X speed. I playback most instructional videos at 1.5X speed but his speech cadence is faster that most, so I dialed it back to 1.0X.
Thanks for pointing that out. Will try to improve it in my future videos. 😊
