My mom does iron mans which are 2 mile swims, 124 mile bike ride, and a marathon (26.2) all together in one. And the next day my mom is like fine she’s a superhero
@@paperwork_party it's really not that uncommon, just google ironman races and you can see how popular they are. you don't have to be a professional athlete, just very fit.
@@isha-jn6on u feel very different after a certain time or km. There is a different excitement in finishing your goal. But, it's not like it happened quickly. It took time. Once I got comfortable with my speed and body the thrill was very different. Missing out on any running session became difficult.. A time came for me that if I am not able to finish my run in the morning then somehow I would take out time to finish my run the same day even if it's night.

Duuuuuudddeee the post-race hunger is so legit 😂 i ate 6 donuts, 2 bananas, an orange, 2 Powerades, and 2 waters lol 😅 but my leg soreness left a faster this time around i think bc of better stretching mechanics and more hydration
You vacillate between eating sleeping and going to the bathroom first 24-48 hrs. Next 24-48 you walk like you been in a prize fight the only shoes that can be worn are flip flops athletic slides. By day 5 -7. That vow during those middle up last miles to never do this crazy “ish” again is soon forgotten because you are doing recovery slow miles and looking for the-next torture session!! The medal part is true I’m wearing it to the grocery store to run the kids around my t shirt to the gym for a solid month. You are going to know the crazy thing I done😊
Tip: as soon as you’re done running, head to a pool, beach, bathtub, cold plunge and sit in cold water. It will help recovery. Hydrate, reduce, sleep, walk the next day.

After my marathon I swear I got sick as well Couldn’t even enjoy the celebrations because I was ill all day after not to mention the next day…. Loved every second
My mama is 42 and she has been training for 1 year to do a marathon in greece for her 42nd birthday. Right the day after that we walked 18 km to shop 😅

Usually you won't look too tired if your conditioning is on par. Your cardiovascular endurance reaches a standard and through effective strength training, your body can withstand the wear and tear.
You know this 42 km marathon thing ,coms from anciant greece . A soldier had to run that far to delever a message, he died as soon as he arrived. Yet now people think its super cool to post it on social media to show off...

hi as someone who runs marathons a lot i recommend trying to do some physical activity after as your muscles will heal faster and without tightness 🩷🩷

i ran short 400m to 1 miles every day (not the first one) after the marathon and did light workouts
