saw them in a small venue...played this medley as well...very good show. Ahmet could 've been an amazing rockstar, the guy oozed charisma, Dweezil and the band were stellar musicians (of course). Too bad they didn't continue.
Where in the actual fk did this come from???? Omg I had no idea these guys toured back then wtf? This is the Peavey Medley but before it was called that. Sound quality is excellent and the performances are near perfect! Thanks for the upload my friend!
@@parcirecords I have a few versions of this 'Mash-up'. It is so well done. I think they were just trying to shove as many songs into a mashup as possible. Had I seen this when I was gigging in the 90's I woulda copied the entire thing for an encore. Great quality too
Frank attended the Z record release party at The Viper Room with Warren Cuccurullo, while that took place before this show Frank was amazed by the bands new drummer Joe Travers. After Josh Freese, Terry Bozzio, Ansley Dunbar had opportunities Frank proclaimed that the band had found their drummer. As Frank knew the previous quite well for Frank to proclaim Joe Travers as the one that shows where Joe’s beginnings in Los Angela’s as a professional drummer were proclaimed by Frank, a man not easily impressed. To this day Joe Travers remains a top LA talent performing with many great bands. In addition to drumming he’s produced about 70 or more official Frank Zappa albums.
Lou (and Andy Warhol, his gay brother) hated Zappa (Andy indeed said that in his autobiography), that’s why. Frank probably was not a fan of the Velvets either (can’t remember if he said that explicitly)
This what it sounded like when the ruffians that pursued poor Gregory Peccary put all their radios on different stations and danced around in wild abandon. Not entertaining. Proficient yes. Entertaining no.
This is what adhd feels like
More like an Autism
Better yet,it’s what AZDZ sounds like😂
Sorry,I’ll show myself out😔
I really wished they would have stayed together. This was an epic time with an epic band.. one hell of a mashup of songs!
Very talented but bros will be bros 😂
@@ChrisGillooly I wrote off my brother 8 years.. 😂
@@ChrisGilloolyThat’s it! Perfect explanation! (I don’t have a brother but I have a sister. Even worse!😂)
@ChrisGillooly Didn't they just put their differences aside?
This is what Mike Keneally brought to Z.
A n Incredible performance of a mind. boggling number of music composition from various music rock artists . at a stunning rate
THIS IS AMAZING!
Amazing... Love seeing the bros perform together. Ahmet is an incredibly charismatic talent! ☮☮☮
Done in true Zappa form. Crazy

Great concert! I was there, came specially for Z, they had just released Shampoohorn.
It was an immense weekend that I will never forget!
AWESOME! I loved Z when they were together. Ah. . how times have changed. But, always loved this band. Thanks for the upload!
damn this is great.
Mike Keneally on guitar and Scott Thunes on bass ladies
Don't forget the Vaultmeister on drums...
It was to be Scott Thunes's last tour with them. Bryan Beller played bass for them after that. I got to see ST with Steve Vai in October that year.
Saw them that year, a shame they didn’t keep that going longer. So great live, normally don’t like medleys but man their medley is truly epic
I can't help but think that Ahmet had the easiest part of this.....
Tying all the tunes into one awesome melody, has to be the kids of the great FZ.
How did they remember all these songs...& which order they went in? 🙂

Haha we had it all along! My company filmed the festival for MTV and the bands at the time. I had few performances held back on the mater tapes.
@@ChrisGillooly Very cool. Thanks again for posting!
it's called a frank zappa Mash-up! ;) Z-style...

@@dumbguydepot304 it is a great mash-up..
As great as the medley was, I wish there were high-quality video like this of them performing tunes off of Shampoohorn other than the Conan clip.
You and me both!
There are some other live performances

They were so right about Lou Reed !
Ahmet can gyrate those hip!
Fucking brilliant!!
Frank was still alive when this concert happened although he was probably not feeling well. I wonder if he saw it?

1993?
The best version of the insane medley. Too bad Mike is too low in the mix and never on camera...
Hi do you have anymore of this show ? Great footage
Sorry this is all we have.
Shampoohorn was fucking ace!
Cool Stuff , Be cool if the Zappa family was out doing Dads music and some looks like a lot of talent here
She’s a brick (girl in the third row) house.
I wonder what song the referenced or is it like a Zappa Ad-lib

Shut up Ahmet
Why the Lou Reed hate?
Cuz he sucks? There is some Zappa history there too....

Just what is to be expected form Frank's offspring.
Say what you will. Armhet is natural behind the mic. Definitely is a chip off the old block when it comes to that frontman entertainer aura, Dora.
I saw deezil last night,this was better,Ahmed
Too bad Ahmet is such a jerk.
🤣
I met him he was very cordial and outgoing. I understand they all have made up their differences.
@@captainsouth4460 I'm meeting Dweezil next month, but I don't have the gall, or the right, to meddle.
Have another margarita

Ahmet's a punk...
Dweeze singing!
Ahmet for president!
This is as Zappa as anything Frank did. How in the name of Dog do they remember all these random snippets and play them all so well? Genius.
Practice. Being into music.
What's the Baby Jesus song?
