- This video shows you how realistic you can get with our CoasterDynamix modeling system. This model was built and themed by our friend Montu32. This kind of model can be made with a mixture of Phoenix and Expansion Pack parts! Well... and also a whole lot of creativity.
This model is actually for sale by the person who made it. If you would like to inquire about purchasing it, please email tomdavidson@blueyonder.co.uk - Zábava
The problem with all the model roller coasters is that the train is moving un-proportionally fast compared to the roller coaster size or compared to reality, but thats understandable since the train set probably lacks any mass.
Interestingly, the mass of the train doesn't have any effect on the trains speed if you neglect frictional forces such as air resistance and friction in the wheel bearings. The reason for the train travelling proportionally faster than the full size version is due to kinetic energy being proportional to velocity squared. Since energy is conserved and we are neglecting the frictional forces the gravitational potential energy can be equated to the kinetic energy. That is that mgh=(1/2)mv^2. This can be rearranged for v to obtain v=sqrt(2gh) which is equivalent to v=sqrt(2g)*sqrt(h). Now lets say our model coaster is 40 times smaller than its real life counter part. This means in order for the model to look realistic it must travel 40 times slower than in reality. If we replace h in our expression for velocity with h/40 i.e. the height of the first drop in our model coaster is 40 times smaller than in real life we get: v=sqrt(2g)*sqrt(h/40) which can be written as v=sqrt(2g)*sqrt(h)*(1/sqrt(40)). This means that the velocity of our model coaster is 1/sqrt(40) times that of the real coaster. If we want it to be realistic then we need the velocity be 1/40 times that of the real coaster. To obtain this we need to slow the coaster down by 1/sqrt(40) times again as (1/sqrt(40))*(1/sqrt(40))=1/40. There may be some way to do this using a viscous brake on the train itself but probably the easiest way is just to play back the video at 1/sqrt(40) times normal speed.
The simple answer is you can scale down a model, but you cannot scale down the effect gravity has on the roller coaster. It is no faster than a real coaster.
Well maybe you should just put the roller coaster in a drop 500 meter drop tower with a precise amount of air resistance to make it fall at exactly such a rate that the effect of gravity is proportional to the scale of the rollercoaster. Then the roller coaster would go the right speed. Lol
The best solution is to make a model coaster scaled 1:6 and assemble it on the moon
@@coasterdynamixYou could try putting some friction to the wheels to make it move slower.
Pretty cool and detailed coaster. Now I’m off to play RCT and make one like this in my park.
I love love love all the detail .. great job
By far the best CD model I have ever seen. To be honest, if I was Montu32 I would be too proud to put this up for sale!
we must have shrink technology so i can ride that!
No you'd break your neck when it stops at 0:25
EpochEmu If it was real there would be brakes
You will probably die from the g force
I don’t care I’m still making a shrink ray In the 2030s
Nice ride...I like how it uses the natural landscape. I just wish it were longer - maybe a helix around the back of the mountain after the the boomerang.
Great scenery. Makes it stand out from the rest.
Highly Detailed CoasterDynamix Roller Coaster Model looks too intense for me!
Make sure my life insurance policy was good, contemplate why I'm going to go ahead and commit suicide, pat myself on the back for my incredible and unique method of suicide, then jump on the bitchin ass roalar coaster! 🤘🎢⚰
@@scott6504 Do you even know what he was talking about? Lol
Roller coaster tycoons be like:
I want to go on something more thrilling than Highly Detailed CoasterDynamix Roller Coaster Model.
Highly Detailed CoasterDynamix Roller Coaster Model has crashed!
I'm not going on Highly Detailed CoasterDynamix Roller Coaster Model while it's raining.
Highly Detailed CoasterDynamix Roller Coaster Model is really good value.
Stunning!
This is very cool i love the background and diorama! Im gonna build the coaster dynamix comet for my ho scale layout.
lord thats amazing!!!!
Awesome!
That is great! Love the added scenery to make a diorama. I wish the speeds scaled better in coaster models.
Very good!
That's epic...
Honestly, still one of the most impressive Coasterdynamix coasters ive seen. Visually, its super pretty and the layout would be solid irl and the passion and detail still shows through
that's pretty epic!
Very Nice Job...
this is amazing.
Spettacolare...bel video ... ciao dall'Italia
that is just beast!
AWESOME!!!
Excellent !!
It is Amazing!!! It reminds me a lot of Superman Krypton Coaster and Hair Raiser. With a small water pump that waterfall would have been real :)
Best CDX creation in my opinion!
EPIC!
I would TOTALLY buy it!
That is sooo cool
omg id soo buy this off you!! :D
Amazing
Sick, way cooler than legos!
OMG sweet
!!!!
CoasterDynamix surely makes a good looking model. It is the "garden railroad G gauge" of the coaster models. You get what you pay for.
beautiful theming i hope you got an A on this. Water feature would look real cool
What would you think of it if you saw an actual roller coaster that went as fast as these model roller coasters?
Nope
WOW!!! Awesome Roller Coaster! I want to buy me the Phoenix from Coaster Dynamix. That's my first Roller Coaster
I hope someday there’s a way for them to make it the same speed as it would be in real life. That’d be so cool.
The actual coaster train would have to be made of solid osmium lmao
Are these for sale somewhere? I used to build faller models of rollercoaster but this one looks way better! Nice job
This Reminds Me Of Kumba.I Like Your Phioenix Models And That Hypercoaster And Those Inverted Coasters And The Wooden Coasters.Basically I Like All Of Them.
I love it !!!! How much is it xD
I like it when the trains are so fast
the scenery is all hand built apart from a couple of the trees and part of the background landscape.
I watched at x2 speed!
That was a good idea it looks cool that way 😃
Nice
One of my favorite coaster dynamix models ever!
Are any of the models made of metal? Or are there any manufacturers that makes them with metal?
Yeah thanks i have just had a look
How did they make the catwalks and railings? I'm curious...
Whoa, this is so awesome. Both as a model and as a real coaster. I'd love to ride it IRL. Did you come up with it or is it modeled after a real coaster?
thanks
Nice, but i want to know how you go the green box track. I understand the kumba train but how the hell did you get green track!
are you making this one again? love it!
this coaster reminds me of the layout of a floorless coaster
I just made the catwalks, wood strips from my local model shop and model fencing.
Is this the wheel system of the scorpion train combined with the seats of the cumba train?
Please could you do a video on how you made it? And what you used?
Were do you get this and all the others
just to answer a few questions, the coaster is not a re-create of a real coaster, the track was sprayed green and the crossties too(i would sell as i no longer need) and before the model was took apart it was for sale.
epic
Guau!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Wow great job! But if that was full size the speed would create dangerous 'G' forces for the passengers
ELPaso1990TX if it was to scale it wouldn't be so fast... you can scale down size not speed or force
Put a camera on it. Would love to see the insane scale speed from the car view.
wat set did this color track come off of?
Where do u get this? It’s not on their website 🤷♂️
They stopped making them years ago.
Just make your own. Track down plastics, rubbers, other products and so on. Would be tons of fun too!
TAKE ALL MY MONEY!!!
model is still currently for sale and in the u.k. can ship worldwide, serious offers welcome
Why are all coasters always so fast? Are they in general like that or are they speeding up the Video
where did they get the mountains
how did you get the catwalks?
Awesome, this actually convinced me to buy a phoenix kit... unfortunately it doesn't seem to be available anywhere. Does anyone know a place in the UK that stocks coasterdynamix?
WOW
Where in the uk can o get a set from?
How long did that take?????
could you just imagine if real life coasters rode so quickly!
everyone will die
gforce central lmao
where did you buy it
the model is know more!!!
LOOOOOL
AWSOME WHERE CAN YOU BUY IT
The catwalk doesn't go up to the crest of the lift? :/ If it breaks down, I guess riders are SOL.
a twister coaster, correct?
Sweeeeeeet
It's really nice and all, but it looks like the pull-out before the loop is a bit tight.
it was broken up ages ago and to make way for the next one
***** i see that rct reference :)
looks a lil bit more real at 0.5x speed
Awsome !!, Is there anyway you can buy phonix for uk, Please send link
ok we're done here
Is die moeilijk te maken ?
fucking cool
@thomaszach38 It's a little hard to scale gravity down.
tu donde ese compra esto
como me gustaria tener 2 como esas pero una diferente soy de mexico y me gustaria una
Is this even still for sale?
I want this
you should play it in slowmotino the 2nd time, the speed will look more realistic
wow!!!!! is it for sale? i want this!
playback at 0.5x speed for a more realistic watch
I would like to buy one from that company but they are always sold out according to there site.
donde se vende
i wish we can
do you actually know where?
Very nice! If only it could be slowed down to look more realistic.
Or, at least, slow down the VIDEO to be more realistic.
