As a Chiefs fan my whole life (52) and hard core for over 3 decades. All I can say is we have been getting screwed for a long time, and paid our dues, especially with bad calls. For as long as I can remember and even now people don't wanna show us love, but we used to it here in KC, and now we are becoming the new Patriots of this era, we have become the enemy, and I accept it. I can't even count how many years we got into the playoffs and choked out. I know your pain. So I'm enjoying these last 6 yrs immensely. I do wish everyone would get to see their team in the big game at least once before they die. GO CHIEFS!!!
The other teams can make the SB after we are tired of getting there.
Completely agree , I’ve been a fan since ‘91 and been through some awful years, why can’t we win now, I do hope other teams can experience the same joy one day,and remember don’t win too much cause you’ll be hated too.
I'm a little older than you, I watched the Chiefs win 3 Superbowls now. I have memories of the uncles and my dad cheering like crazy, we were at granddads, cuz he had a fancy TV. Aunt Fernanda kept a table full of goodies the whole time.

Since, if we would've beat them. The hate the Chiefs are getting now. Would be NOTHING compared to the hate we would get for beating the Lions.

Pat Mahomes had one roughing the passer penalty called on him the whole year
"How was that not PI?" For a couple reasons. One, it was a throwaway pass, nowhere near catchable (even the announcers said Jackson was throwing it away), it came down almost 20 yards behind Likely. And the contact happened after the throw, so the throw was intended as a throwaway, not targeting Likely. If you rewatch the play, Likely was squared up to catch the pass, but when he saw it was going high and wide, he turned around and ran into the defender. The defender didn't initiate the contact, they hit each other at the same time and got their arms tangled up. But at any rate, since it was far beyond catchable and it wasn't targeting Likely, then it won't get called as PI.

That said, don't quit your team over our success, 31 teams always fall short, and in our shoes, you wouldn't want your Eagles to lose their dominance, just for other teams to get the chance. Besides, I've had a soft spot for Philly ever since Reid came to KC, and was happy Peterson got y'all one. Always liked Jason, Hurts has real potential, and y'all put up a tough fight in LVII. Really felt for Jason, but the cross-team connections are plentiful, so best of luck next year, and I hope for a rematch in the next one!
My comments are coming as I watch, and unfortunately, I must call you out over the second roughing call with Mahomes. That was not a lame or weak call, the defender led with the crown of his helmet right into Mahomes' helmet. That's a yellow-15 all the time, and it has to be. It's also a call by visual cue, which involves no personal judgement, just a trained reaction. That makes such calls the best kind of calls, like a jersey stretch is a cue for holding, because it's 'see it, throw it'. Yes, some might seem ticky-tack, but that's the product of consistent enforcement across the league, so a feature, not a bug.
If you want refs tilting games, you let them form their own opinions on what a violation is, and calls by visual cues is a better option, even though Chris Jones once drew a roughing for slapping the shoulder pad of Tom Brady. But when it comes to calls, your choice is to believe the refs should meddle with a game the way you want them to, and wanting as much as possible called the same way every time across the league as possible. I hope somebody learns something from this, anyway, because I want consistency, even when it goes against my team. Standard good, random bad, your choice.

The Philadelphia Eagles were ranked 8th in 2022 before they played the Chiefs in Super Bowl what happened to their defense they gave up 38. Plus they are the most sacks ever they're riding like Reggie White was on the Eagles. The Chiefs have a great offensive line and a good defense that equals championships

The number one defense gave up 17 points man it's not that big of a deal it's just a fact they put 14 up quick and they were completely dumbfounded because they expected to win by double-digits and they thought they were better. It is no different than any other time when the Patriots had major experience in the playoffs and there was an upcoming team to come beat them. The chiefs were right there with the Baltimore Ravens defense all year the only difference was that their pvoa was rated like the best since the 1980s so everybody bowed down to them and acted like they were going to completely shut everybody out. Lamar Jackson is not that great of a quarterback Under Pressure passing when the Chiefs had the best pass defense in the NFL. Not to mention Patrick Mahomes have played 17 play games before that game started Lamar had played two.
It's because the Chiefs have owned the Ravens Lamar has never beaten the Chiefs except for one time when it was a last-minute fumble and they lost by 1 point 35 to 36 and that's when the Chiefs had a terrible defense. Until this game Mahomes was averaging 350 yards passing versus the Baltimore Ravens. Not to mention the first time they played is Mahomes famous forth and 9 pass the Tyreek Hill and then they won in overtime. And keep in mind every single time the Chiefs played the Ravens they've had a top 5 defense set for once!!!
