Truth! And how they made people realize things that society tries to denormalize blink 182 gives people a sense of comfort knowing that people just over react when they see people having fun cus some take it too far as other don't. Rather than society just be skeptical they take it too far and try to punish. The harshness that gets impacted on people that aren't being harmful but just want to have harmless fun get the bad rep... for it. Basically blink 182 allows people to see that they over react and to lighten up. those that are wise will get it and be light having fun. Those that don't will more than likely dislike blink 182. But it's sad that deep down what the real issue that isn't being addressed is the problem never is or was blink 182. It's the person's mindset that formed that opinion and it's their mindset that will rob them of life. Once they see that they won't be that grumpy person who flinches at any sight of people having fun cus they will know they were the problem. Moral of the story blink 182 keeps people young and helps those in need to be open minded and to realize how dumb it is to stress yourself out over things that don't have any affect on their personal life

I was born in 86 and I got to see them when they were in their prime. I saw them the first time, 7 rows away from the stage in 2001 during their TOYPAJ tour when they had the flaming "FUCK" signs onstage with fireworks. The second time I was them was on 05/28/04 I believe and I got super lucky to get the concert tickets at the last minute. It was their last tour that they did before they went on the hiatus. During "the rock show" song performance, they had played the instrumental part after the second chorus and Mark + Tom started talking about how they came to that venue soo many times throughout the year and it was heartbreaking because you could hear the sound of defeat in Tom's voice and Mark spoke with nostalgia and the moment was really sentimental, as if they knew that their differences couldn't be put aside. They thanked everyone for coming out to all of the shows they had ever done and I honestly thought that they were both going to cry when they talked. They went back into the song with the "black and white pictures" part before it goes back into the chorus again and they rocked the fuck out that night. Travis also had 2 different types of drum solos with both shows I saw where his drums went into the crowd and the 2004 show had him going up in the air doing circles and playing the drums in all different directions in the air with him being strapped down with his drum set. Fucking LEGENDARY. :)
The song Dogs Eating Dogs has elements of all their projects. Like, Mark's verse is very +44 with its pacing and darker themes. +44 seemed to be Mark's Boxcar in that he was able to express his darker emotions while keeping it catchy and punky and a bit more dark and aggressive without going too heavy. Tom's chorus has the grand vast spaciousness of AVA without going over the top with the delays and reverbs, but still making it huge! I think Travis knows how to be Blink 182, and he stays very true to keeping that upbeat, technical but catchy and receivable slammage! You can hear his drum tone no matter what band he's in. Liek oh those are Travis Barker drums. But in this band, he is the master of their style
This EP gets so much hate from all of the "blink 182 gatekeepers" but its honestly so underrated. I love the direction they were going before Tom left... Not that i hate california or nine, but this is infinitely better.
I'm one of the biggest blink fans you'll ever meet & I love Dogs Eating Dogs. I think everything after that was a huge step backwards though. California (deluxe) has Cynical & 6/8 which i enjoy but NINE i maybe listened to twice because it just sounds so contrived. Sometimes a melody from NINE gets stuck in my head but that's about it. It makes me sad because I want to like it but it's almost like watching a spinoff or a non-canonical movie. I don't like to spread hate over it though, if you like it then good for you, enjoy it. I personally don't think those albums will age quite as well but it's not like I'm being forced to listen to 'em so it's no big deal in the end.
Agree, I much prefer this to neighbourhoods because this still had the mature blink sound of self titled without straining into complete Angels and airwaves territory like neighbourhoods did. You can tell neighbourhoods wasn’t written in the same room and you can tell this was

But even then those words can be twisted into opinions. :'3
I've been listening to these guys for a while now, and they've really helped me through a lot. Their songs enhanced fun times, lightened the darker times, and made me feel like I wasn't completely alone. They're my heroes and my best friends.
I had to come back to this after hearing that newest Blink song and the Lil Wayne monstrosity haha! This is easily one of my favorite releases from them. Wish we could of gotten one more album with this sound. :/
Really digging this EP! I read a description over this EP for the reason of dropping the label and self producing it, you can really hear how well they worked better without the label on their ass, Neighborhoods was decent but this shows hope for a an amazing future Blink 182 album! Apparently even recording Neighborhoods was hectic for the band, having to seperatly record and do their own thing, they feel more music creativity when working together, you could definitely hear it!
+Nadav Drewe no, it won't. as much as i hate tom what made blink good was mark and toms banter on stage and the way they compliment eachother in a complete opposite kind of way in their songs
Tom wasn't wrong when he said Blink was onto something big. Sadly, the new Blink with Matt just isn't the same. Neighborhoods and Dogs Eating Dogs are some of Blink's albums. I want more of that.
@@thatonedudea thats not eaxactly true. The only reason travis took the spot was because he learned the set for that show in 45 minutes. The songs were already made before travis showed up that brought them to the spotlight. Mark even attempted to bring back the old drummer but failed under the same circumstances and travis ended up with blink permanently.
I love how in some songs how experimental blink is. Like, I would never think they would use an organ in their songs, or just like what went wrong, they had something like a clarinet in it.
While it's sad that this is the final release by the "classic" lineup, at least they were able to incorporate their old sound into it while still pursuing additional sounds and adding more mature lyrics. I couldn't really get used to Neighborhoods because it sounded too much like Angels & Airwaves, this EP is more of a continuation of the untitled album (which was their best). EDIT: Well boy, this sure aged well.
+MoldyUniverse Well this and Neighbourhoods have a totally different style and mood from the rest of their works. I find these latest songs more mature but also less powerful. It looks like they're trapped in a midlife crisis. You might argue that they were stuck in an adolescence crisis previously :P but that makes me feel the power and discomfort of youth, which I'm closer to. Maybe you are older? (as old as them?)
I liked Dogs Eating Dogs more than Neighborhoods, but both albums were REALLY good. I wish Dogs was longer (as in a full album, not an EP, because I loved the direction they were heading in with this EP) As for Skiba, I like the guy. I like Alkaline Trio (I've been listening to them nearly since the first record) and I'm a huge AVA fan, as well as a huge fan of anything Tom puts out, but I can honestly say Blink should call it quits. (For now anyway). I enjoyed (+44) for what it was, but for the most part, all the songs sounded the same. On top of that, Skiba is just as busy as Tom is. Have you seen all the things Skiba has going on? Alkaline Trio, a solo album coming out in a few days, etc... They're basically going to be right back where they started. On top of that, it really seems like Mark is only in Blink for the money. Everyone knows Tom founded Blink, and brought the uniqueness that set them apart from other pop punk acts. Mark's last few songs have sounded very similar. Listen to Hearts All Gone and Dogs Eating Dogs. It's all incredibly similar. Mark needs Tom, and Tom needs Mark. Without that, there is no Blink. They complement each other. This isn't a knock on Skiba, but in order for Mark to preserve the legacy for Blink he needs to let Blink die for now. Maybe in a few years, he and Tom and work things out, but for now a lineup of Mark, Matt and Travis needs to be called something else.
how can you say that. If your really a true fan of blink you wouldn't 've saying this. what the Fuck is wrong with you. you can't find a better band then blink-182. I'm sorry they shouldn't call it quits for any reason I believe in them. This is what they love to do and fans would be more upset, then 1D splitting.

+Janesssa Roberts They don't exist as people solely for our entertainment. We should be happy the members we like continue to produce music at all, and hope that one day they'll stop being shitty long enough to record an album. Blink is broken, Blink is bent, and probably won't learn to love again. LoL
Okay okay your right and made good points I get that. Blink-182 is now broken I can admit that. I'm not gonna lie I'm going to miss them. Because they were one of my favorite bands together or not I'll still listen to them. I appreciate your honesty. I just have one question would you ever stop listening to your favorite bands just because they broken up or not. I sure as hell I wouldn't?
I have been a blink fan for 11 years, and I consider that not a very long at all, in terms of how long they have been together. I feel bad for all you kiddies who found them recently.
i completely agree with you and JJ Raven. Born in '97, so all I have really grown up with is the mainstream hip-hop explosion. I always thought i liked it, but I never felt like I fit in when listening to it. As soon as a distant friend of mine showed me blink, I fell in love. and I've just expanded ever since. This music is me now, and i'm really glad.
I don't think you need to feel bad for any of us. I discovered blink just under four years ago, and they're music changed my life. It doesn't matter when you find the music, what matters is that you support it, and find it helpful.
I was only born in 01. I found them when I was 6 and then got realllly into them when I was 15. I'll be 18 soon and I still listen to them almost everyday. Unfortunately, I never got to see them live with Tom, only with Matt. I'm a huge fan of Tom's writing.
This is I think my favorite collection of songs from them. Encapsulates everything they’re about. I have specific, distinct memories associated with each album, and this one had special value. Anyway, underrated EP.
This and Neighborhoods are SO underrated. IMO this EP gets more love than the 2011 LP - and I get it. It's a shorter collection of songs, so it never overstays its welcome. I don't even think Neighborhoods does that, but I can see how others might. Nevertheless, I am thankful for those two works, and I hope the original trio gets together soon so we can get new Blink!

Sounds like Box Car Race. Those guys are part of my teenager.. Thanks you guys. It was amazing!
While I blame Tom and his avoidance to be open with Mark about how unhappy he felt in the band for the first breakup, I blame Mark more for the second split. He clearly no longer trusted Tom as a creative partner and wanted more control of the band. You can really hear it in the music Blink is currently making.
i listen to this and neighborhoods and it just makes me cry how beautiful and mature they are. But also how everything fell apart. I miss these guys so much... fuck.
Jonny Klin Nah I'm just giving my opinion I'm not expecting them to do anything. And how can I sound spoiled if I didn't even say that much, you don't even know me lol. Why start things over nothing.
It's really bittersweet listening to this album. It's legit amazing front to back and I remember being so excited with the direction Blink was going in :(

***** This except, you should shorten it to "Best" in general. :"D It's not just "all time" that's subjective - The words good, better, amazing, best, etc - It's all subjective.
I wish people used more words like "Technical" or "Diverse" more often when justifying a band they like because those are factual qualities and not meaningless opinions. But even then those words can be twisted into opinions. :'3
I've been listening to these guys for a while now, and they've really helped me through a lot. Their songs enhanced fun times, lightened the darker times, and made me feel like I wasn't completely alone. They're my heroes and my best friends.
I love how you can hear tom gasp for air to sing the verses in the first song. Awesome
I had to come back to this after hearing that newest Blink song and the Lil Wayne monstrosity haha!
This is easily one of my favorite releases from them.
Wish we could of gotten one more album with this sound. :/
Couldn't agree more. DED was an awesome direction! It's so good!
This is the last true Blink album....long live Tom.
I haven't listened to Blink in years, but quite recently i have gotten back into them, and i must say that i'm already hooked again.
I love that each part of my life is defined by different blink albums and I can travel through time with the click of a button. thanks fellas.
Listened to this ep as a whole for the first time tonight. It's been a pleasure. Nice stuff. Kept me company in this bitter time
Tom, Mark and Travis together ? There's no way to be bad music..
They're my heros!
Almost 2020, this EP is a gem
I respect Mark and Travis for honoring this band, but it wont be the same without Tom.
+pl4sticgun Yes it will. Skibz is equal to the task.
+Nadav Drewe no, it won't. as much as i hate tom what made blink good was mark and toms banter on stage and the way they compliment eachother in a complete opposite kind of way in their songs
+Nadav Drewe it wont be the same tom created blink 182 without tom its basically the blink trio
see what I did there lol
+Nadav Drewe no its not bro clean ur ears
I hope the new album has this albums energy.
LUCKY THERE'S A MASHUP GUYYYYY
Tom wasn't wrong when he said Blink was onto something big. Sadly, the new Blink with Matt just isn't the same. Neighborhoods and Dogs Eating Dogs are some of Blink's albums. I want more of that.
Then you shall receive
@@viniciuswittke4945 nah man that new song is not that good lol I’m antsy to hear the rest of the album but this new song was meh 🫤
@@purpleheartsofficial agreed. The new song sucks, but I'll keep my hopes for now lol
@@purpleheartsofficialrest of the album beats edging for sure
Saw them live last Saturday, waited 15 years! Was absolutely worth it! Love you guys so much! ❤
I really like this LP. I love "Boxing Day" and can't stop listening to it! Been a big Blink fan for a good 15+ years and still love them to this day.
It's a shame that this is the last "real" Blink album. It's so good and it's just a taste.
technically dude ranch was the last "real" blink album, since scott raynor left the band after.
Ayush A i don’t think thats how it works
Everyone knows they didn't really start till travis came in with enema of the state... still love the other 2 albums
@@thatonedudea dogs eating dogs is the last album from the mark, tom, and travis era. the best era for blink-182.
Blink 182 always the biggest song ever i ever Heard i love all the liric.thank u
such an underrated album. I listen to it all the time. Best 20 mins of the day
While it's sad that this is the final release by the "classic" lineup, at least they were able to incorporate their old sound into it while still pursuing additional sounds and adding more mature lyrics. I couldn't really get used to Neighborhoods because it sounded too much like Angels & Airwaves, this EP is more of a continuation of the untitled album (which was their best).
EDIT: Well boy, this sure aged well.
January 2020 who's listening
Irfan Firdaus no one lol
I always do
Dude blink182 is my life!!
2023 still listening
Can't wait for new single "Anthem part 3"
Been listening to them since I was seven and I never get bored of their music.
this album has gotten me through such bad times and i am forever thankful for it
Is it fucked up that this is my favorite Blink 182 album?
+MoldyUniverse nope.
+MoldyUniverse ahm, yes :P
+MoldyUniverse Wait, just listened to Boxing Day and sounds pretty good
roddik94
Well it's just every song in this album are my favorites from the band
+MoldyUniverse
Well this and Neighbourhoods have a totally different style and mood from the rest of their works.
I wish Dogs was longer (as in a full album, not an EP, because I loved the direction they were heading in with this EP)
As for Skiba, I like the guy.

LoL
+aems24 no.
Amazing totally loving all the songs on here. One of my favorite albums
I remember when this came out, and I loved it back then and still do. Extremely underrated!
That second verse on When I Was Young is sooo damn good.
This is undebatable the best thing they put out since the untitled album. Every single song is so damn good.
TY for this buddy. Awesome
I just keep coming back! Love this Ep
This was such a solid album and couldn't have come at a better time in my life. So many great memories embedded in each song. :D
I feel exactly the same way man! :)
I have been a blink fan for 11 years, and I consider that not a very long at all, in terms of how long they have been together. I feel bad for all you kiddies who found them recently.
Some people are just born in the wrong year like me. Now we have nicki minaj an jb which i hate, i just like this kind of music more
i completely agree with you and JJ Raven.
Thank you for posting this I love you for it!
This is I think my favorite collection of songs from them. Encapsulates everything they’re about. I have specific, distinct memories associated with each album, and this one had special value. Anyway, underrated EP.
This EP brings back a lot of good memories from school
This and Neighborhoods are SO underrated. IMO this EP gets more love than the 2011 LP - and I get it. It's a shorter collection of songs, so it never overstays its welcome. I don't even think Neighborhoods does that, but I can see how others might. Nevertheless, I am thankful for those two works, and I hope the original trio gets together soon so we can get new Blink!
Sounds like Box Car Race. Those guys are part of my teenager.. Thanks you guys. It was amazing!
So underrated, Dogs eating Dogs is the best Blink 182 song even know it's nobody's favorite, you can feel in it the soul of Tom, Mark and Travis
'when i was young' has that signature catchy blink guitar sound throughout the whole thing.
When you realize the times in the description are not the start times but the length of the songs. lol
I MISSED OUT ON BLINK-182!! I WOULD HAVE LOVED THIS WHEN I WAS YOUNGER
My goodness, this is infinitely better than Neighborhoods. Thank you for uploading without ads.
This album is sick , every song is killer.
Sad that Tom left, post-breakup Blink was just getting good
While I blame Tom and his avoidance to be open with Mark about how unhappy he felt in the band for the first breakup, I blame Mark more for the second split. He clearly no longer trusted Tom as a creative partner and wanted more control of the band. You can really hear it in the music Blink is currently making.
@@punkgrl325 i blame mark cause Tom is the heart of blink 182
I mean look at ava clearly tom is a great lad would be ace for tommo to rejoin blink
Blink 182 always helps me to move on in life. Thanks guys!
So grateful I bought Blink's self-titled album in grade 6, Travis you inspired me to play drums!!
i miss them :/ music now days suck. thanks for all the memories .
+Sethamphetamine um, maybe take it down a notch dude?
it's okay, it's his period.
he's right tho
Sethamphetamine well I was about to say that, but I could’ve not say it better.
i listen to this and neighborhoods and it just makes me cry how beautiful and mature they are. But also how everything fell apart. I miss these guys so much... fuck.
anything with tom and mark singing together and travis' amazing drum playing makes me happy regardless of them sounding like their old selves or not.
That's so good! I love this album....
I wish this is what their new album sounds like... but I will love them forever.
Pretty little girl is one of my favourite blink songs ever but I would've liked it better without the rap part
Who gives a fuck what you like?
Griffin brown Does she expect them to rewrite and edit that part out just to suit her? Don't be a soft little bitch. She sounds spoiled.
Jonny Klin Nah I'm just giving my opinion I'm not expecting them to do anything. And how can I sound spoiled if I didn't even say that much, you don't even know me lol. Why start things over nothing.
Why can't people just enjoy things on the internet XD?
Michelle Schrijnemaekers You can hear the song without rap ,in the case that you didn't know...just search in youtube :)
I remember getting home from my drivers ed class and this was uploaded and I was hypedddd
This is great and I'm glad I have finally searched it up
This album sounds MUCH better if you Take Off Your Pants and listen to it.
I get it
What about my jacket?

It's amazing that blink 182 has been around for over 20 years man. I'm happy for them,
How am I only just hearing this!! Awesome EP 👌
It's really bittersweet listening to this album. It's legit amazing front to back and I remember being so excited with the direction Blink was going in :(
This is how blink 182 is supposed to sound now
How come I didn't hear about this album till now
Madison Heaps Don’t feel bad. It’s now almost 2019 and I just discovered it! 😳
Danny Brainard lol
ikr mandella effect
@@dsbrainard same here. Just yesterday for me
2 of our band members were fortunate enough to see these legends rock the Music Bowl in Melbourne a couple of weeks back. Dogs Eating Dogs and Disaster went off! Was amazing to see everyone singing along to these new tracks. Definately the most nostalgic show I've been to ever!!!! Was disappointing we missed out on Travis but Brooks played like a boss and blew all of us Aussies away
Blink has changed soooo much I miss their old up beat fun songs but they have grown up! A lot but no matter what I will always love them! Blink has a special place in my heart
I love them, awesome as fuck.
yeah its cool
Fuck yeah.
This EP is amazing...
I never really got into blink 182 when they were really big. but this is a nice piece of treasure i'm glad i stumbled across and still enjoy years later.
Everything changes EVER. And I like it. Blink-182, forever and after...
