I love so much your high chroma palette and temperature transitions ! This makes your alla prima painting so unique and beautiful

i love how light you get the skin tone without killing the color with white

Very nice, Arthur, as per usual. Love the process of starting with sketched outline, then block in and working toward a refined finish; and in just a few hours as you have said before in other vids. I try to work that way and don't know if it was the method of the masters but suspect so, as in Zorn and Sargent, whether it was an alla prima piece or done over a few sittings.
I often do small portraits to "train the eye" for subtleties in other types of genres, like landscapes, where accurate drawing is essential. Nice limited palette too. And as in your other works I would stop just short of final refinements, in this vid at about 4 minutes in, or a bit after, to retain a more "sketchy appearance", which only takes about an hour for me on an 8x10 panel, working from a B and W pencil sketch I've made of models seen on you tube and use what I gain from watching masters like you as to proper flesh tones and values. Just for a practice sketch, as I mentioned. It's sort of my art "pushups" training work!! LOL ;D

You have added life in painting because in the reference picture, the lighting is boring, but the painting is exciting to look at ❤
