Yeah dude we wanna see more of your expertise on finish repair.
You do some nice shit. Your best vids are of finish repair.
I get it, you’re probably getting burnt out on making these vids. They seem to be getting shorter and shorter but we rely on you for your funny comments and your skilled work of electronics, luthier skills, but especially your finish skills.
It’s efing amazing how you can fix something like a damaged finish.

Looks great, really great. Almost invisible. Don't you hate it when you do something so well that no one can see it? You're the best and the video proves it. Save the video 'cause the repair is...uh, is uh...invisible and no one will know. Except for it's in the video. So there. That proves it. You're the best. Yes.

I have a very old Strat with dents chips and all sorts, I would never mess with it other than the usual clean-up, it's part of the guitar's mojo.

Awesome work dave, thanks for taking the time to teach us hobbyists all your methods. I wish I was local to you so I could give you some work setting up my guitars and bass in return, but hopefully my views and kind words can make up for that a little. Thanks again, and I will have to put a purchase in for some of your merch to help the cause.

Gluboost is amazing. Sometimes if the clear coat is lifted , I’ll paint in some black lacquer around the edges and then black gluboost. With old guitars, I’ll add some Stewmac vintage clear. You do good work. Like repairing clocks, guitar finish is an old man’s job.

Dave, here I thought all this time, you invented the word gooch! I tried a repair on my 814 Taylor that had a "crazing" in the finish by the saddle that opened up to bare wood.Strangely, it was about the same time you did this video. And yes, I "gooched" it. Like this Gluboost, tho...it's Fun Stuff.

Dave, you should really look into getting some 'bench cookies.' They're great for propping your work/piece off the table both securely and without starching or damaging the piece. Silverline Tools and Rockler make the best ones with non-slip rubber pads top and bottom. They even have an entire "lifting system" for them if that's what you need. I just have the cookies themselves, but I can't imagine work without them now. They're great for working on the backside of instruments like you're doing here. Just thought I'd share.

Don’t want to trigger you but that stuff is not very forgiving. It’s scary to use on lacquer because the glueboost dries harder, so you have to be really careful not to have a buildup of gluepoop.
