This is a recording I made of the Bluguitar Amp1 Iridium while switching between the first 3 channels and playing with the gain and switch knobs. The Amp1 goes direct into a GFI Cabzeus which goes into Logic Pro X. The guitar I’m using is a Haar T-model with a TV Jones in de neck position. No eq added.

Nice demo and playing. I have the original silver one, (not sure if that is the Mercury edition) along with the foot switch and Nano Cab. I enjoy the heck out of it. Thanks for posting your review.

Hi @Woody, great video! Just what I was looking for.
For a not-really-a-metal-guy (the only ones close to metal that I'd listen to is Alter Bridge & System of A Down), which do you think is more suited for my use, this or the Mercury?

How would you compare to the Mercury Edition? Does this one have the Low Gain Mode? Can it get similar tones to the Mercury but slightly tighter bass and faster attack? Thanks

Totally different sound, Mercury is more Marshall, this one more Friedman. It's got a low gain, sounds good. A good speaker cab makes a big differents, set the treble around 4, 5. A lot of people hit the strings hard, for metal it's good. But for other genres you will get a better tone when you play softer

Did you keep the Mercury you had as well? Or was this good enough to let it go?

It sounds more natural than the suhr reactive load ir. A friend got one, but also bought the cabzeus after I told him that it sounded better. He also bought the ox box because its all in one, so easier, but don't think it sounds better. The cadbzeus is only 320 euro, so a good one to try out. I also use a jet city attenuator as load (if I use a tube amp), but any load will do

Thanks I was asking about the cabinet speaker also. Does it play up to all the hype?

Have the same problem. The Mercury is more classic sounding. I vintage channel with the gain on 3,5 sounds so good with a Les Paul. I think I gonna miss it if I go for the Iridium. But I also like the sounds of this one

Great playing, but, not really what this amp is supposed to be about. I think this demo might be detrimental to the target audience.

I see it more like a tool to make music. I have a Friedman amp which I like, to me this feels a bit like that amp. And there are already a lot of great metal demo's on youtube, I wanted to show what other sounds you can get with this amp. Thanks for the response btw!

Jay Ramsdell if anything it’s really showing it’s versatility. Can’t wait to get one.
