I don't remember how I got here but this explains how I got out a depression and when I show some anger from things I don't enjoy... My dad has said his comedy and anger was a gift, I was not abused, but his father was abusive and he controlled it. I feel like I'm at a point my whole family is amazing because my dad cut off ties from grandfather and I never experience the worse of the family. Crazy I'm making this connection

The theme of a broken bridge has been prominently featured in my dreams and mediations. Message receiving is that a trauma pattern I have is the burn all my bridges. This Phoenix study resonates for me as one who has to burn it all down, in order to experience rebirth…again and again. Now I want to integrate how this can become empowering, and break the trauma cycle to manifest a power/birth/beginning/making/creating cycle! Thanks for this Phoenix study, Jordana! 🔥🙏🏻💙

I don't know about seeing Phoenix or his fiery friends, but things are getting dissolved today. What interesting timing.
It needs to happen, I feel, but I also feel a bit queasy about it.
My exposure to Phoenix comes from the card game Magic the Gathering. There may only be one Phoenix, but four live in my deck, and the game sports many varieties of them. My strategy with Phoenix: everything explodes.
Maybe I should have been a fire sign.

"Plan" is a strong word. 😂 I've taken some time off from making videos to finishing writing a book on wolves in story, spirituality, and history, and my *hope* is to start making videos again once I hit the editing phase. The book wound up being far more complex than I anticipated, so I have no idea when that will actually be. That being said, sometimes it just feels like time to do something regardless of my actual plans, so there could be new videos sooner rather than later! Thank you so much for the lovely words and enthusiasm! It's always affirming to hear that someone enjoys my work so much 💗. Cardinal is actually at the top of the list of spirit guide videos I'd like to make when the time arrives to make videos again; the script is nearly written, so I can say with some certainty that you'll see this one in the not too distant future (as much as we can say anything for certain! Lol! Mercury retrogrades today, so I'm probably tempting fate a little here 😂). Black cat is *extremely* specific to the individual; the interpretation ultimately depends on how the person themselves feels about black cats. For example, I had a client who kept having black cat dreams, and she was very frightened, as she is from a country in which black cats are considered an unambiguous sign of evil. What her dreams were telling her was NOT that she was in any actual danger, but that her worldview had shifted after a trauma, and she was afraid everyone and everything was out to get her. Black Cat was showing her how she was perceiving the world, so she could do the necessary work to learn from the trauma and release it, as it was preventing her from relaxing and trusting herself to be an accurate judge of people and situations. Another of my clients was seeing black cats everywhere, and they were an affirmation of her interest in pursuing studies of a classically Pagan nature, as black cats are so often affiliated with witches (the studies were really just learning about the use of certain herbs, but she regarded this as a Pagan practice). Because the black cat/witch connection is the standard symbolism, it is part of our collective unconsciousness, and thus endures despite the fact that this affiliation was created by the Christian church in the early years of the European witch trials (Black animals of ALL kinds were considered to be demons or a witch in disguise. Witchcraft as a Satanic practice was *also* created by the Christian church. Prior to the trials, it was actually a sin to believe in witches, and you were required to do penance if you were deduced to believe in them. Establishing the idea of Satanic witchcraft served to create an enemy from which the church could supposedly protect you - the trials served as a sort of popularity contest between the Catholic and Protestant churches, with each claiming they were better at saving you from witches and backing up this claim with the enormous spectacle that was public burnings. And I could go on about that forever. ANYWAY. Lol!). I have videos on both Domestic Cat and Feral Cat that provide the overarching interpretation relating to cats. Just ask yourself how you feel about black cats -- Do you love them? Do they seem magical, mystical, empowering, etc.? Or do they frighten you, represent something dark, inimical, etc.? Then ask yourself if your feeling about them echoes how you feel about the world right now, or what you're seeking from it. If not, how you feel about Black Cat may represent a Yes/No to a question you've had.
If you're trying to figure out what they mean as a totem, take those qualities you associate with Black Cat, then add them that to what you've learned about Cat in the videos, and you're all set. I don't usually write out so many specifics, so this is unlikely to occur again, but I definitely appreciate the opportunity to give a little extra to a fan! Have a wonderful week! -J

I have a question. Do you go into autohypnotic trance to see spirit animals and soul fragments, Jordana?
That's a really good question, Martin! With extremely rare exceptions, no, and even then I'm not sure I would describe it as an "autohypnotic trance." I'm wide awake, and half the time I'm out walking or cooking or answering Facebook comments 😂. I just put out an Ask to the Universe regarding any kind of animal wisdom I might need for myself or a client with whom I'm about to work, and if there is any, I'll receive a strong impression of that animal, along with whatever little bits of wisdom I need to know (though sometimes, I also get a directive to go look up some information on that animal). The same is true with other information that does not relate to animals, but is critical to understand the issue at hand. The only time I come close to a trance state here is when I am meditating on a particular question that, because I haven't yet released an emotional investment in the answer, I am having trouble getting calm and clear enough to hear what Divine/Higher Self is telling me. Meditation sometimes lets me temporarily bypass the emotional calamity and hear what I need to hear, the caveat being that I still need to go back and clear those emotions sooner rather than later. I'm suddenly seeing the phoenix everywhere. Took pictures of the phoenix cloud next to a baby and or detailed face. I've having physical issues that all feel like fire or very burning sensations. I even had to go to the emergency because I had no clue what's going on. I would love to have a better understanding. My father just recently told me a lil about his experience but he's constantly blocking his from lack of understanding and fear.
Big hugs for your hospital-experience, Goldie - that must have been terribly frightening. Usually burning sensations in the body or skin have to do with unprocessed anger (a big Phoenix emotion!). The body shows us that we are "burning up" with fury! Typically, the individual is well-aware they are angry but feels there is nothing they can do about it, and so must simply accept it. In the video, I talk about feeling through anger so that it can be productively released. You may also want to watch my video on Phoenix as a totem - it may give you additional insight. How do you know your spirit animal? I suspect the phoenix is mine because of my last name (Gordon), there's 48% air elements in my chart, the fact my chest hair is unmistakably in the shape of a phoenix, the reoccurrence of the phoenix type saga throughout my life, etc. etc. Is it even possible to know for sure?
The surest indicator is simply that you feel a connection to a particular animal; there is no amount of logic that can "prove" whether something is one's totem animal or not, though there are logical signs. At the end of the day, Kevin, the truth of whether or not something is actually a totem for you doesn't actually matter -- if you feel called to understand your feelings about it, that's what's important. The Universe doesn't work in absolutes, but in experiences. So if you start looking at your connection to Phoenix and realize it doesn't quite fit who you are or who you want to be, that in and of itself will have been a needed experience for you. What *would* likely be more helpful for you is my video on Phoenix as a totem -- a totem is a symbolic representation of significant parts of who we are and what we experience in the development of those parts, while a spirit guide is a temporary messenger. So it means something different depending on the role it's playing in your life. The Phoenix totem video should help you determine whether or not it "fits" you.
