Well, our friend Leandro's custom color is back for round 2. You guys wanted us to use Leandro Grey as a base for pearls. Today we're going to spray RL-71 Alien Pearl over Leandro Grey. What a fun project! What do you guys think of the combo?

That's it! I kept racking my brain for what the topcoat reminded me of, but I couldn't pin it down.

It really is just one of those colors that pops and grabs your attention and still remains really classy to boot. There are many fine DYC colors, but this up at the top.

The whole strength of Leandro Grey came from a striking matte color. There's no way adding a glossy topcoat would... O.O ...Welp, I'll keep being wrong, and you keep being beautiful.
I guess I'm the only one who was hoping it was still going to be a matte finish.... and still think it should be after this, that initial "Leandro Grey Matte Pearl" was awesome, I don't think this is better being glossy. IMO

@@ryo-kai8587 I dipped my car 6 months ago. With everyday driving and a lowered car. Mines only gonna last a year. Scratches show up way easier than you can imagine. It's very hard to keep it from not scratching at least with Matte top coat.
Can't you buy the flakes and add them to white base and clear?
Still want to see a chrome base coat with candy emerald green clear top coat.

I cant get over how the steeper angles have a much darker tone to them and the pearl in the topcoat makes the lines pop, sort of like a hilight and an anti hilight, creates a lot of exaggerated dimension and looks amazing.
This is what I hoped Leandro's mix would look like initially. The grey alone is gorgeous, but this is absolutely a work of art. I love it.

As a 40K player, this just screams Fenrisian Frost with those blue tints to the grey from a distance and seeing it shift is really cool. Great vid.

Btw, I've been wanting for years to see a video on a very rare metallic copper-maroon colour, similar to Chevrolet Aztec Bronze, preferably on the SPLBRG S4 or another Audi. Would love it if you tried it as a candy or pearls experiment!

This is by far my favourite dip I've ever seen - I've been hoping you'd do a cool tone shift over a lighter grey base to see what it'd look like!

5/5 stars. It is absolutely beautiful! I liked the Leandro Grey from the first video because it made such a beautiful grey (and they are not easy to make...). Especially because it was a matte finish, which lent a lot of style to the car. But this one adds a third dimension or maybe a fourth (I include that sense of "I have one heck of a great colored car!") which includes bragging about said car to anyone who can't escape my enthusiasm... Great video!!!!

I am loving that!!!! It makes me think of some of the mid-late nineties Nissan when the clear coat starts to flake, leaving that matte metallic look, which I absolutely love the look of.
Looks great. I like Hondaâs Sonic grey pearl on the newer Civics and this is like a step up from that color. Very nice.
