You can’t draft a 1 and then draft another qb in the fourth rg 3 should have protected himself and not played while injured but he was afraid cousins was going to take. His job and he got hurt again and screwed himself up
As a commander I am inclined to agree. Last success we had in the past 30 years was with RG3. Last owner f***** that away. Should be better managed this time around. I’m excited for it

I watched Jayden play in person for 2 years in Baton Rouge , he had great pocket presence and was very accurate and could pick up huge yards on the ground . The guy is a playmaker he had 50 touchdowns with only 4 interceptions
The Texans had one big thing you completely didn't mention a , above average offensive line !! All the weapons was a bonus. But that line was a great foundation for any QB to build off of. And CJ just ran with it!! Great season. Good foundation
The line gave up 11 sacks the first 2 games
something washington doesnt have...they cut their LT who was basically the 44th best tackle last year...so now they have his backup and Wiley who was the 40th best OT....their IOL was dogwater and they have replaced them with possible upgrades but they were shopping @walmart for those players...
I think what really helped CJ was Bobby Slowik the OC and Johnson the QB coach plus CJs own personality and being mature for his age

@@twostop6895they do. He only played 14 games last year and every other position in the offensive line was injured atleast once last year. CJ adjusted to having a middle of the pack offensive line by not holding onto the ball as long.
I think that Daniel’s should go second if not first.
i think the bears are 100% going caleb #1. but things could happen, they could go daniels, no draft picks are usually set on/confirmed most of the time
First might be a stretch, But he should definitely go second. He and Caleb are the two best quarterbacks in this draft

I believe that Marcus Mariota had a knee injury quite awhile back. Now in college, if my memory is right, he had a 4.5 40 time and a 36-inch vertical leap - both terrific especially for a QB - and I think he leveraged those to help him succeed. After an injury though he wasn’t the same.

For me I wouldn’t go for a quarterback if the offensive line isn’t good or have a good receiver core as well. Mariota and even Mitch has been done dirty when you don’t have the pieces around them and their confidence gets destroyed because of it. It’s a big issue that organizations need to stop running through these QB’S who may need some belief and confidence restored in order to reach for that potential

Im thinking everyone remembers what happened the last time a big prospect from UNC was drafted high. Trubiski was way better of a prospect than Maye too. Sometimes its just better to play it safe than to try and make those guys work.
Maye is ten times the QB Trubiski was/is. Trubiski wasn’t talked about until draft day.

Jayden should go two. As a matter of fact I think a case could be made that Jayden maybe should go one based upon release, arm mechanics, arm strength and accuracy. If you watch his Pro Day (PD) it’s pretty obvious he very well might be the best pure passer in the draft. But I think if you took Marino as a passer and gave him near Lamar running ability you get Jayden. There has been noise that Jayden is a little on the lean side so some people worry he might be injury prone in the NFL. Thing is, no one can hit a quarterback nowadays anyways so it may not matter. (Of course if you watch Zach Wilson’s PD you go, “Wow!” but Jayden appears to be a “gamer” while Zach is not.)
As a Commanders fan, I am still taking a wait and see attitude. 20+ years of the last owner has done this (even with one season gone).

Daniels is more of a pocket passer than drake maye. Maye leaves the pocket way more. Daniels is better as a runner but he mostly ran on designed runs
JD is the right choice Heisman winner and played against better competition than Maye.
Easy on the Patriots...we have a nice young D...and we still can do work in the draft. With that said, Drake Maye at #3 Is a no brainer. Drake also comes with some flaws that need working out and the Patriots will be in no hurry to start him week 1. Jacoby is going to be that bridge, while we continue to rebuild the offense around Drake. They want him to be comfortable, confident and most importantly...ready. even tho we won 4 games last year....we weren't far away from winning 8 or 9 games. Our D without judon and gonzo held the other team to 10 pts and our horrid QB play couldn't put points up to win on 2 separate occasions. Jacoby is going to provide competent and consistant QB play. We also had a couple games that Mac drove us down for the win and the WR ruined it. Boutee not getting his feet in bounds in the red zone against Philly and then juju had a ball hit his hands and go right thru thrm...I can't remember who it was against. My point is I kno it's easy to hate, but New England is better than they are getting credit for

Most superbowl winning QBs have a 1 of 1 gift. Mohomes-Arm Talent, Wilson-Play extension, Brady-Clutch, Rodgers-Offensive command, Manning-Defense recognition, Flacco-Playoff Performance. Ect.. The only QB in this draft that has a 1 of 1 besides Caleb's off schedule ability is Jayden Daniels speed ability. Jayden will come in the NFL as the fastest QB and last time that happened baring injury RG3 took washington to the playoffs year 1 challenging for a SB. dont mess it up Peaters
RG3 or Kirk Cousin is in the remaking, it's how i see it if Commanders take Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels.
Mariotta was never an NFL passer. I was shocked how high he was drafted. GREAT college quarterback and off the rails athlete in a genius and cutting edge at the time college offensive system. If running around or the threat of running around is the central deal in your game as qb and you aren't bona fide from the pocket, you are a huge risk. Lamar is more than holding his own, but it's hard to name many success stories beyond him.
Lifelong Washington fan here. I want us to pick Jayden. Obviously his size is the concern but hopefully he can beef up some before the season 💪🏻

Biadasz is their best signing & Wagner is always great to have but everyone they signed is old. What happened to Ekeler last season? He looked cooked in 2023 the Chargers ran him into the ground; not sure he has much left. Brian Robinson was the better back last season but maybe if they're gonna go run-heavy and attempt over 40-carries a game then it makes sense. Robinson gets 25-carries and Ekeler gets 12-carries & Jayden gets 7-carries; that would make sense but when you see who their OC is then that Ekeler signing makes little sense. Quinn was the coordinator that made-up the game plan for the Packers right? He schemed for the defense that gave up 40-plus right? And signed a bunch of backups from the Cowboys defense that got exposed....not sure they made any real improvements
