    wish it was that easy! I had 5 attachments in the front. With each new aligner it was impossible and painful the first new week. The best way I found is to pop it off one side in the very back (like he did) but I used my middle finger for top aligner/thumb for bottom on the outside edge (between the cheek and teeth) and then I pop off the other side in the very back the same way. Then to get it off the front teeth with the attachments, I pull the aligner in an "up and out" sort of diagonal motion starting on one back (already released) outside side and working my way to the other. Which side you start from on this is personal preference or what is easier depending on your situation. Basically, once you release the back on both sides, you have more "play" in the aligner to get it off the attachments. Hope that helps.

    I usually advise patients to use a different tooth each time they take it out. I unfortunately took my top aligner out on the same molar everyday and now I have 1mm of recession and wear on the enamel. Try to avoid repetitive scratching/pulling on the same area.
    I also read how you can take a washcloth or paper towel and pinch from the outside and inside of your back molar and pull down. This avoids the need to use your abrasive finger nail.

    I was told (by the orthodontist clinic) that if you use your nail, you could scratch your gums (or your nails might hurt) and they told me to grab the very back with my thumb and index finger (like how you would hold a key when unlocking a door) and pull *gently* until it’s loose-ish, then repeat on the other side and then keep going back and forth until you reach the front, and they should be able to pop right off. This applies to both the top and bottom ones.

    I have 20 attatchments and my bottom teeth are fine taking on and off, but the the top one has one tooth that is a lot higher up than the others so taking it out is really painful for that tooth. Guys, I want you to calm down. I know what everyone is up to and now I'm on day 3 and I've found a way that doesn't exist anywhere, trust me! I know you are afraid that they will break - I promise they won't. I have quite a few attachments on my teeth and the method works with them too. First they gave up on the rear and then with the hook you pull SIDES and then DOWN to release the attachments attachments. That is it- if you first do it on the right, you pull with your right hand to the right and then down. With this metod, neither the attachments nor the aligners themselves will be damaged. BELIEVE ME!!! today I spent 20 minutes trying to remove them before I found this way and I was getting depressed. IT WORKS I PROMISE!!! if there is anything ask me :)

    i’m on my first tray today and i don’t have any attachments but when i try to take out my bottom tray sometimes it’ll hurt one of my teeth. i’m not sure why or if it’s okay i’m wondering if i’m pulling it out at a bad angle and moving my tooth?

    How do you remove the bottom tray easily? There's no way to get your finger in a hook shape into your mouth to get them loosened. Mine actually cracked on the edge because I couldn't get the bottom one loose first before pulling.

    Keep in mind that it is tough for crowded teeth, especially at the bottom. So, most advice on youtube doesn't work because the front NEVER comes off that easy on crowded teeth.

    If you have attachments and/or arthritis, and/or want a more secure (less likely to choke on aligner--good for kids) way, you can use a 2-finger, 4 motion method:
    *Upper tray: With your forefingers, tug aligner on *outer* side of the back tooth on left side w/your left hand at the *same time* as tugging the right-hand "big tooth" w/your right hand. Reverse the process. Make sure your mouth is relaxed on the second movement, and pull down at the back tooth.
    *Lower tray: Hook your thumbnails under the tray on the outer side of the left-side back tooth and the right-hand tooth next to your first molar. Reverse the process and help the tray out with your tongue.
    Seems complicated, but after a couple of tries it'll be easy-peasy.

    I wish it was this easy. I only have 3 attachments on top, but i got an ipr and the dentist cut my gums a couple times. My aligners are stuck on the teeth where he cut me, and its the most painful thing ever. I’m absolutely starving and have no idea what to possibly do

    • @GluckOrthodontics
      @GluckOrthodontics  Před rokem

      Thanks for the question! We have found that discomfort is hard to predict for each specific patient. The good thing is aligner treatment progresses slowly and gently, so any discomfort is usually minimal.

    @GluckOrthodontics is it normal that one attachment is soo high that I can no longer normally bite?? :(

    • @GluckOrthodontics
      @GluckOrthodontics  Před 8 měsíci

      Thanks for the comment. Sometimes the attachments have to be placed “in occlusion” so you’ll feel them when you bite down. We try not to do that because it can be uncomfortable but often it can’t be avoided. If it’s really unbearable, it’s possible your orthodontist can smooth the top part of the attachment so your bite feels better. Good luck!

    Are invisiligns better treatment than traditional braces ?
    I got jumped by 7 dudes trying to end an worthless debate they started with a friend of mine
    I thought they would beat his ass badly, so I stepped in just to talk and try to avoid escalation,
    but they thought I'd jump on them and got cowardly hit after a physical action took place with two of them prior of me being hit.
    I don't remember wether it was a punch or an elbow as I didn't see it coming being busy with two of them, but I could feel my 3 front tooths moving after the heat of adrenaline faded off.
    That same day I got a permanent retainer placed from behind those 3 front teeths, and it's been 4 years now.
    I feel them slightly moving still although the retainer is there to keep them, however, the right centered teeth has overlapped a bit to the hurt left one (middle one where the retainer starts.)
    I'm told to go for braces as they are cheaper and more safer, but invisiligns appear to me esthetically speaking.
    I only want to correct my front overlapped teeth, dentist said it would take up to 12 months for that single tooth shift .
    I m very confused, please I need someone's experienced opinion
