    Your understanding of BacLock is a little off. The BacLock (microsilver) in the Norwex microfiber is NOT what removes 99% of bacteria. That's the microfiber. The silver has self-purifying properties which prohibits the growth of mold, mildew, and bacterial odors. This is a patented technology that E-Cloth will never have! Just wanted to clarify!

    I own MANY e-cloths and norwex cloths that I've been using for 8-10 years. They all still work fine and apart from stains have not deteriorated at all. I'm not sure how anyone can say the ecloths don't last. I also have both the Norwex and ecloth mops and respective pads. I use them interchangeably. I've leant them both to friends who knew nothing of either company - as a test - and they were equally happy with both. A lot of the comments on here are obviously from Norwex reps and I find they always get defensive about the Norwex products. I have sold Norwex and e-cloth and can honestly say they are both amazing products, ecloth just happens to be much cheaper because of the way it's sold. Norwex is a multi-level marketing company, meaning that when you purchase an item, the person that sold it to you gets a commission, as does the person that "recruited" that person and onward up the ladder.

      This is exactly how I feel...I can not justify spending what Norwex charges and yes, the main reason that it is priced so much higher, is because of the cuts, that all the people take from that single purchase...I doesn't make any sense to me...I have the E cloths and I am here to say, that mind work very well...I have not had any problems yet with them...they only cost a fraction of what Norwex is charging for theirs.

      I can understand that. Its SO much more expensive, I'd sure hope its SO much better! But for 2 time a week quick clean ups, sometimes you have to pocket the money, and go with the less expensive to wipe up that apple juice! ;) Norwex is clearly amazing, you show that in the video, there are obvious quality differences, the price reflex those differences. I cant wait to binge watch your channel!!

      I also enjoyed the video and seeing the comparison. I have only been using my Norwex mop for about 1.5 years but I do know someone who has been using the same Norwex mop and same pads for about 11-12 years and it still works great! I am not sure how long the E-Mop lasts or how often it has to be replaced but it might end up costing more in the long run.

    did you happen to notice Rachel went over the same area with the Norwex that she had just cleaned with the ecloth mop? Did you notice there was dirt on the Norwex mop pad that the e cloth mop pad had missed! that is most likely why it didn't glide as easily as the e cloth mop -- the Norwex cloth cleans much better, essentially saving you time because you didn't have to mop it twice! NORWEX WINS!

    Hi! I know i am late to the game here. But i just saw this video. I thought it was a great comparison. I am actually a Norwex consultant and of course I feel it is superior. But i think you did a great job. I love our antibacterial qualities and our 2 yr warranty. They hold up very well as well. I wanted to mention that we now have a tile mop pad. It has little scilicone type waves in it that will get that tile floor even cleaner. It may be a great idea for you in these areas. I even use it on my hardwood and get amazing results. Our microfiber is also the smallest on the market so it will pick up more dirt and grime then anything else. The ring on the mop handle allows you to hang it from a surface like a counter, when you are not using it for a moment. The ball on the end also allows you to give a scrub to anything that may be stuck to the floor. It is possible with children! Also our baclock is a great way to keep bacteria at bay and keep your home cleaner. As you know from the cloths. I love that it basically allows the cloth to self clean and you could go longer between washes. hope you are well and I hope you take away some helpful info from my comment. Have a great day.

  • @nehemiahbrubacher8968
    @nehemiahbrubacher8968 Před 7 lety +50

    I agree the mop is comparable in function. And the quality of the handle and pad of Norwex is most definetley better. I do think the reason the ecloth glides easier is because it has larger loops and doesn't grab the surface as well. It is the same with the cloths. The loops on ecloth are much less dense and larger. This is very noticeable on windows and surfaces because it leaves larger water drops so it leaves spots behind. I have done a comparisson with ecloth and envirocloth getting oil off a mirror and the it isn't even comparable. no residue after the Norwex and a lot of fog after ecloth. envirocloth grabs the surface and you feel like you are cleaning it without cleaners. ecloth makes you feel like you need to add a cleaner. I use my ecloth to clean shoes and outside stuff and norwex in the house.

    Thank you for the comparison video. I am trying to choose one. After seeing this I think I’ll spend the extra on the Norwex mainly for the better handle. I like that you can lock it in place to do walls. And my main thing is you can attach the hand held duster thing to do tops of cabinets etc. That being said I think I will also get the e cloth one for our basement since it seems to do a fine job as well. I finally watched this video after seeing it pop up so many times, lol. Disclaimer, I am a consultant. I joined after trying Norwex, then researching ecloths and purchasing those and using them both for maybe a week before deciding I would just have to do a party to get all the Norwex I wanted. My SIL got the ecloth mop, but I did a party to try and earn it for free which I did. Because of the way the Norwex microfiber is woven and how fine it is, it grips more, which is why it's not gliding over your floors as easily as the other mop. I don't know if you used the mop on different days in the video, but you could see that the Norwex mop did have dirt on it, so if the was immediately after using the ecloth mop, I would say that it looks like the ecloth was still leaving dirt behind. If you could clarify that I think it would be helpful to others that watch your video in the future. Thanks for sharing!

    I agree with your review. So honest, great job. I became a consultant because I wanted the products at a 35% discount. My friend raved about the sweep/mop system, I was disappointed with price versus cleaning outcome. I have 1200 sq ft of hard flooring, 3 children under 4 years old, so lots of crumbs and messes daily. I use the dry mop, but still have to go behind it with my broom to get the corners and crevices and to sweep the always huuuuge pile of yuck in the dust pan. I know they say to wipe it up with an Enviro cloth, which I followed the directions the first time and did just that (took several trips from trash to sink back to mess) but it just caused an additional time-consuming cleaning session, of boiling water to clean the Enviro cloth so I can use it on my counters and table and highchair. Nonetheless, I decided to buy my bath towels and other micro fiber needs from e-cloth, and anything I can't get through them I will purchase with 35% discount through norwex. Always looking for comparable cleaning solutions like toilet and such for cheaper prices, it's my duty to be a good Steward of our finances. I did find Thieves (Young living product) and that one big bottle @ $85 dollars (consultant price) (HIGHLY concentrated) cleans every single nook and cranny of my home, just that one product, (work harmoniously with microfiber technology, does not damage) and it has lasted me a year. Either way, I just made the change to a chemical-free home over the last 4 years, and we are saving sooooooo much money by doing so. Our monthly households budget a month was $200, it's now $25. I can't tell you how much I spent over a lifetime on all the separate cleaning solutions, laundry detergent and such, and it wasn't good for home or our health. Thankful for the new change, the noticeable increase in health and wellness, and the peace of mind that comes with it all. Glad I am teaching my children that health is much more frugal and responsible in the long run. I know we are all on our own journeys, the beauty of diversity, so this is just a vapor of a glimpse of mine. Good luck and blessings to all!

    You're young. I love your frugality and agree with you. I felt the same way about the price...would never consider paying that for a mop.
    One came in my starter kit. I have psoriatic arthritis in my hands, bursitis in my shoulders. Combined pain and fatigue makes it impossible to clean my floors. I did my entire house, all hard floors, except the bathroom and laundry room, in less than a half hour with the Norwex mop system! No pain, no hand swelling, and no fatigue!
    The mop system was unbelievably easy for me. It will save me money because I will no longer need to pay for a housecleaning service!
    Add to that the independence and self satisfaction after not being able to clean my own home for the past few years...I am so happy with everything I have tried so far!
    I am looking forward to start selling this stuff. I will recommend E-cloth to younger, able bodied customers who have time and energy and don't need easy. This will enable them to purchase other things like the paste, amazing bath towels, back scrubber, etc., I'm looking forward to trying the descaler, degreaser, etc., I can't believe what the paste does already!
    Anyway, thanks for posting this. I'm comparing other products to assure myself that Norwex is worth the money before I start selling it myself. So far I am impressed. Actually hope to host my first party this week and earn some free products! I want it all 😅

    You Norwex Mop is sticking because it's giving you a deeper clean and it's trying to break through the film that has built up on your floors. I used to clean my entire house on my hands and knees..yes, it's true I had a schedule so that I could keep up! I found that once I tried a side by side comparison of the Morwex Mop versus my dollar store micro fiber cloth the Norwex Mop won! In order to get rid of the film that has built up, use a smidge or the Norwex's U.P.P cleaner and it will give you that initial deep cleaning and your Mop will no longer stick!
    For me this Mop was a no brainer with my two dogs, two cats and a two year old running around on stone flooring, tile and hardwood floors when comparing cost, effectiveness, and efficiency of the Mop system versus the time I spent washing my floors on my hands and knees . As an FYI the Mop head is not meant to be soaked in water as this will cause streaking on your floors. Just a light spritz of water will do. Happy Cleaning!

    The norwex pad will last many years longer-guaranteed! Also the norwex mop attachment head is smaller than the e cloth mop so you can bend the pad up and clean your floorboards as well so it's a bit more versatile than the ecloth mop, but sure it's definitely a cheaper alternative. Great review! I love Ecloths, especially general purpose, window/glass and polishing. I like the e-cloth mop for using every other day or so with a quick once-over, and I definitely notice a huge difference underfoot. I then use the Mopnado mop once a week, which I really love for traditional, deep clean mopping, despite the price. I just use with hot water and occasionally vinegar or essential oil if I'm feeling the need for extra "clean". It also speeds things up and is easy to maneuver, which is always a bonus since I really hate mopping lol.

    Thanks for sharing! You mentioned BacLock technology. Just to clarify, Norwex's BacLock means it has microsilver embedded in the microfibers. It doesn't do the cleaning of the surface; instead, it purifies the microfiber cloth or pad after you rinse it in hot water & hang it to dry. I'm not positive, but I don't think ecloth has silver in all their products. :)

    If you are having trouble wringing out the Norwex pad (I did) try long ways not short. Works so much better to get it drier, that also will help with the glide on the floor. I have tried the e-cloth mopping pads too. Not a fan they broken down, maybe because my whole house is wood floors. But they did seem to wear out very fast. I have gone through 2 e-cloth mop pads in 9 months, but still have my Norwex from 3 years ago.

      This is so good to know. I have had two Norwex pads with my Norwex mop and they each have lasted about 3 years. I didn’t want to invest in another one if the ecloth mop pad was as good. But it seems that since Norwex lasts longer, it is the better buy.

    Thanks so much for the demo. I fell in love with Norwex after trying some of their cloths. I loved their product so much I became a sales consultant. The mop is brilliant, because it also cleans the walls and the ceilings as well. I use the dry pad for dusting/removing cobwebs on the walls and ceilings and the blue wetpad for the floors, walls and getting the fly pooh, etc, off the ceilings. We also have an enviro wand that attaches to the mop to dust those high places that used to require me standing on a chair. I was a real steam mop fan prior to using the Norwex mop, but haven't used the steam mop since. The Norwex mop cleans much better, and for only $30 more, also cleans the wall, ceiling, the roof of my car, etc, etc. :)

      Obviously the Norwex pad was superior, and she mentioned that the mop handle was sturdier. BUT - wouldn't you be able to use the e-cloth mop handle with the Norwex pad and still do the walls and ceilings? Or is there a feature of the mop handle I don't know about that makes walls easier?! Because I know like NOTHING.
      A friend had a party so I got the bendy thing for ceiling fans and stuff and I got an EnviroCloth. I found this video researching if I need to use cleaner with it or not and I guess....not? I need a consultant!!! bahaha!

I hosted and got mine for nearly free, but even if I'd paid full price, that means I'd have spent a little over 7 bucks per year (I use the mini mop, so a little more for the large). The thing that makes using the Norwex mop nice for walls and ceilings is that it locks into place, and I'm not sure the e-cloth one does. Feel free to reach out...I'd be happy to help you. Also try deluded ultra power plus laundry detergent from Norwex to get a deeper clean. And the reason why the Norwex mop pad holds more water, is because of the extra fibers. Last note, the Norwex mop pads also lifted the dort the e cloth left over. It was harder because it was cleaning more and getting into the pores of the linoleum. Try the tile mop pad and also the rubber brush. I would love to see that video :-)

    • @mrsrachelmoore
      @mrsrachelmoore Před 7 lety +2

      The dry mop pad and a broom/vacuum do different things. The dry mop pad gets the tiniest particles. Take a dry mop pad after vacuuming or brooming and you will see how much those leave behind. I use my dry mop pad, push the big stuff into a pile as I get all the little stuff, then pick the big stuff up with an enviro or you could use a hand vac. I did a show at someone's house a while back. They cleaned their floors before I came even though i told them not to. The amount of stuff the dry mop pad and wet mop pad picked up was shocking to them. There was a lot of dog hair left that the vacuum missed, among the dust etc. I love using my enviro to get the big chunks off the floor under my son's high chair. It works like a charm.

    • @mrscouts07
      @mrscouts07  Před 7 lety +1

      yes. I don't think there's a mop anywhere that will pick up sticky messes with one swipe. Sometimes I actually get down on the floor in my tiny guest bathroom and clean it with my Envirocloth. It takes about 3 minutes and it's more detailed. Haha!

      If you use the dry (yellow one) in a consistent figure 8 from one side of your room to your trash can it will either pick it up or keep it on the front side of the pad and then you brush the pad off in your trash can and pick up any remaining debris left on the floor with a damp Norwex Envirocloth. No need for a broom or vacuum. It's amazing at cleaning up dog hair too!

    E-cloth doesn't have the silver in it like the Norwex wet pad. Also an easier way to ring out the Norwex mop pad is to hold it up and down and squeeze the water out from the top of the pad working you way down to the bottom. that way you have way less material in your hands and can get a better grip on it. Try that out, you might find it to be a lot easier.

      She's replied since this comment to say the Norwex pad is holding up better, and does a better job. The Norwex system has a 2 year warranty. How long's the warranty with E-Cloth? I can't find anything talking about a warranty. Also, E-Cloth has discontinued using "nano" silver (Norwex uses micro silver, which won't wear away with use like nano silver does), claiming it's not needed. It's apparent the makers don't understand the purpose of it in Norwex products. It's to kill bacteria in the cloth, meaning no bacteria growth, mold or mildew.

Th microfiber in the Norwex microfiber is split 200 times more compared to most cheaper brands so take a strand of hair and split it 200 x but then weave it with the silver. This is microbial product that will automatically will disinfect the mop so if you were to mop dog pee it would not cross contaminate after rinsing and hanging to dry plus the fiber will pull that pee u to here if you tested it there would’ve no bacteria left behind on the floor. Didn’t even need to use chemicals.

      I use the Norwex mop on my laminated floor. The chenille mop pad (dry) picks up dog shedding. Then use the tile mop pad (damp) to clean the laminate. No products -- just the mop pad + water. If you get your mop pad too wet and your laminate is fairly dark, it could leave some streaks...so I use a spray bottle of water to just dampen my mop pad. Also, be sure to mop in the direction of the grain in your flooring. Love the Norwex mop system!!

      Try the Norwex tile mop head and I believe you'll find it glides a little easier. The one you are using is for linoleum, laminate & hardwood floors.

    You resemble Molly Shannon! I'm sure you've heard that before though lol. And yes, I have about $200 worth of merch in my Amazon cart. Want to make sure that my choices arent impulse buys so, better to wait for a bit!

    Do
    you wash the mop pads from Norwex with regular laundry soap?

  • @teenarachalgilland1993

    Does the E-cloth have a warranty? Norwex has a 5 year warranty on the handle and 2 yrs on the pads.

    Norwex and e-cloth are two different products.. they are not equal . But I get the complaint about MLM's . Check out the technology.. I wouldn't use the e-cloth .. remember its cheap for a reason... just so you know ....

    Why would you use full strength vinegar to mop your floors? I’m not even watching the rest of this video.

    Make sure not to put the Norwex in the washer with regular detergent. They have a cleaner for them.
