I understand you, I liked this game alot but it wasn't considered a classic style of Mario game. Yoshi's island, though, isn't even a classic Mario game, infact, not a Mario game at all! It dose have Mario but you play as Yoshi the whole game and games after it were made with alot of the same mechanics, then they say it's in the Yoshi series! I'm not saying Yoshi's is a bad game, just not a Mario game.

@@cspetronilho It is understandable. SMB3 added in so much to series, that it pretty much shaped how the later games would evolve. For a game that was only on the NES, SMB3 was a mammoth that was incredibly ambitious. SMW is fantastic, but it didn't offer as many revolutionary ideas as SMB3.

Super Mario galaxy 1 was and will always be my most favorite super Mario game of all time.. The visuals, the gameplay, the characters (Rosalina most of all) were so unique, it made me complete the game entirely 100%.. And it was by first game completion for the first time

Ah, yes, the Virtual Console. Probably the only reason the Wii U has any worth to many people. I'm not one of those sadsacks, especially since I didn't bother with getting the re-releases of DK: Tropical Freeze or Super Mario Bros. U (not quite) Deluxe. I just got the Wii U versions of both figuring they were both a better value.

@@RustingPeace Yes! I'm positive Mario World has been voted the best video game ever, and it is. The colourful graphics, music, and especially Yoshi made the game a true standout. Lots of other games had their own standout bits, but Mario World totally made the Mario game.

Ah, yes, the Virtual Console. Probably the only reason the Wii U has any worth to many people.
I'm not one of those sadsacks, especially since I didn't bother with getting the re-releases of DK: Tropical Freeze or Super Mario Bros. U (not quite) Deluxe. I just got the Wii U versions of both figuring they were both a better value.
Honestly, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is my favorite Mario game. I never liked Galaxy 1 as much because I got it long after Galaxy 2. I still think it should've been in the list, though.

I am surprised the original Super Mario Galaxy wasn't in the top 10, and that Yoshi's Island was on that list.
Super Mario 64 is arguably the greatest Mario game, it revolutionized gaming with its 3D platforming and smooth Controls that out shine even games made today, I can't say it enough how smoothly you can control Mario in that game so much so that it is a go to for Speed runners to this day. Super Mario 3 was fantastic but it didn't change gaming like 64 did.
