It’s a real shame they cut out the part where the audience turns on him when they realize he’s a troll and he has to be escorted out by security. I feel that would have made this scene that much greater.

The problem is that the crowed turned on him for finding out he was Sacha. You can't include that in the movie without a fourth wall break and explaining that Borat isn't a real character.

If there's anything off about this, it's that the performance is almost *too* good. For most of the movie Cohen is really good at playing someone who is pretending to be American badly, but when he's singing his accent doesn't slip at all.
He didn't have to pretend to not be American for the audience, he had to pretend he was one of them
