I’ve been watching your videos for quite a while now. Thank you for letting me know that I am not the only one who loves mechanical pencils and all things stationery. This video is particularly interesting, I did put know this product existed. Thanks so much for being a CZcams creator! 😁
4:00 TK Fine Vario Lux grips are not stainless steel, I have 0,7 mm of those for seven years. It started to get stained after couple months of use. İt smells like iron all the time.
I have this pen that I bought a couple of weeks ago from Jetpens and the pocket clip is not removable or I don’t have the strength to remove it. It is really on tight! Also I have the 3mm Vario and the color is yellow not brown. Just to let you know. I love your reviews, keep up the great work!
I have the 0.5mm version of this pencil and have the same problem with the pcoket clip. Also of note: I have had two of these pencils. Both of these had a problem where the grip came loose when extending the lead. You can glue the grip to the pencil itself (as I've had to do) but that obviously is far from ideal.
As always, great video. I’ve considered this pencil but I hesitated because of the grip. It doesn’t look grippy enough for me. Just a friendly suggestion: If you have space, an available outlet and an extra lamp, placing a lamp on the right side would help us see the details better.
Multipens can do this, but even the thinnest (Zebra Prefill?) are pretty thick and the "pop-in" mechanisms are low quality. One of the most famous solid construction multipens is the Rotring Newton Trio, but that contains only one pencil.
Surprising! I actually just bought it before this video even came out. Honestly I do not enjoy the easily removable pocket clip, that’s a side I do not enjoy. Though with all of that I really enjoy the quality of it and how smooth it writes! along with that, I bought the Mitsubishi Uni lead holder in 2.0 lead! Thanks!
It fits my hand very well. The clip appears to be in bedded now doesn’t move easily. I think yours was a fluke. I paid 26.00 US dollars. Thanks I prefer a .9mm didn’t know 1.5 mm is a 9 will get that as I have a .7mm. My hand just slides into a good writing position. Liking it so far.
A couple things, the TK-Fine Vario L that I have has the same pocket clip issue. and I don't know if you noticed, but the eraser dock is actually interchangeable with the Platinum ZeroShin. I thought that was interesting when i bought the pencil since I have a few replacement erasers for the Zeroshin.
So, I've been watching your reviews and would like some help if possible. I am in university for Electrical Engineering. I am definitely wanting a good mechanical pencil for my classes. I do a lot of schematics and some drafting with it, though a lot of it is math and such, not very large essays. So, currently I use a Uni Kuru Togo Roulette and find it okay. It doesn't blow me away, but it does okay. I write cursive, so the rotation doesn't really help. I am looking for a new pencil and wanted to know what you would recommend. I was looking at things like the Pentel Sharp Kerry, or the MUJI Low Centre of Gravity, etc all on amazon. I just can't decide as I have no idea what would be best for my money to last. Thanks, keep up the work!
Hey, you might know this, given your interest in pencils. I was recently looking for a new compass for technical drawing, because I broke mine (again). I wondered if there were nicely made compasses out there that are solid and professional enough to keep up with our Rotring pencils. A buddy of mine had a Rotring compass long time ago, that he was very happy with, but I also had one once, that was outrageously rubbish and not what I expected from Rotring.
Hey! I've been watching all your videos for months now and it never came to my mind to subscribe. Have you seen the pentel orenznero? I belive its a higher quality orenz with a very durable metal body sort of what the Rotring 600 line is to the Rotring 300 line. I've tried to find reviews but they're all in Japanese. The most I've spent is $18 on a rotring 600,so I would like to know if this is worth the extra money.
Do not buy the Orenz Nero. I had the ability to try one and it broke within a few days of use. Working hypothesis is that there are manufacturing concerns and this is why they haven't released many to the NA market. Also, please do not post comments of how to commit fraud on my Channel ever again.
Clutch Situation I was joking, the odds of a winterstorm occurring the exact moment you order a mechanical pencil is a very rare occurance. Especially if anticipating the next major winterstorm and knowing affected shipping routes is the way to do it. I just asked customer service why my package hasn't arrived and they insisted on giving a refund on a pretty expensive item. I was just sharing a fortunate story is all since these rotring are expensive. If you have weather related superpowers I would understand it being taken without sarcasm. Sorry for the controversy/confusion.
Given the sharp and clear sound of the click when we knock the pencil, I strongly guess it's a brass clutch. The more entry-level mechanical pencil of this series, i.e., the Faber-Castell TK-Fine 9715 (0.5 mm) which I own has a plastic clutch (it can be partially disassembled) and the click sould is so different (not as lound and sharp). The same is true, for example, for the Staedtler Mars micro 775 series; they have plastic clutches and their click sound is almost silent.

AnnaDaisybird Of course there are many people (more crazier about pencils / pens than you can think)!!!

One of my favourite pencils ever. My only problem with it is the lead sleeve. This is a work horse pencil, definitely, but you have to baby it.
I have this pen, and its design is so beautiful. I wish it also comes with metal body though
Personally I don’t use the clip, and so far I am enjoying the feeling of precision . (I have it in 0.3mm)

It is not a pen.

The grip is common problem with these Faber-Castells! Great pen otherwise

I took some time to like this pencil. Now I have all the versions, I think the 0.9 mm is the best
How about a mechanical pencil that can adapt to multiple lead thicknesses? I'm lookin' at you,
Japan!
Multipens can do this, but even the thinnest (Zebra Prefill?) are pretty thick and the "pop-in" mechanisms are low quality. One of the most famous solid construction multipens is the Rotring Newton Trio, but that contains only one pencil.
I'll have to check those out! Thanks, amigo!!
I love this pen and use it exclusively for my engineering exams.
It is not a pen. He doesn't review pens.
@@Crazytesseract im sorry i meant sniper. Obviously he is reviewing a sniper

My tk fine vario does not have the clip problem
Neither does mine. The metal clip is fixed strongly in place, and I don't think that I can knock it off that easily.

Buenas. Que opinión tiene del pentel orenznero?
Saludo cordial desde Medellín, Colombia
1 año después.. 😂 El Orenznero me encanta, personalmente

The tip tends to brown with time because of oxidation, the lead showing thing, but only that

The Kerry will last forever. MUJI pencils are fragile.
XxLogo You can buy Pentel P20X series pencils and they can last you a long time. Rotring Tikky (been using for 10 years plus) should also last.
There is also a Staedlter 925 65 which has a ribbed plastic grip
Yep, it will be featured.

Ivo Trausch Wait for an CZcamsr who will start a channel exclusively on compasses.
Is it better than derwent mechanical pencil for sketching?
Tnx

Do you have an opinion about Modern Fuel pencil? And if you have an opinion about it I what to know. Maybe this could be a new video idea.
ı have the 0.7 variant and ı have experienced similar problems with it , though what really annoyed me was the slippery grip
Can you review the uniball jet stream alpha gel. I know that this is a pen but can’t you make an exception once in a while.
I am not interested in pens.
It costed about 30 $ CAN
4y later is around $25 USD
Do you have a 925 95? They are even rarer than the 85.
Nope. :/
Is the clutch brass or plastic? Top of the pencil is plastic but I was hoping everything else for the cost would be metal, especially interior.
Not sure how to take it apart without wrecking it. It does not naturally disassemble, which is also arguably a con.
Nick Valadao The clutch should probably be made of brass. German pencils of moderate cost are always brass clutched.
It is brass

Pentel Smash review please!
The Pentel Smash is featured in my Seven Great Drafting Pencils video and I have no plans to review it separately right now.
Clutch Situation okay. Thanks! I will check it out! Sorry, I don’t get on CZcams much anymore.
RenderBlack it's actually the Grip 2011. I have one and I love it.
Lo anuncian en español y está en inglés, mal
Al lado del título hay un ícono de que el título fue autotraducido por CZcams
It is so meaningless to you give a rating about the inside of twist eraser's plastic.
thx fr
