OMG Jen! All these years i have been climbing stairs with my knee over my toes. I tried your excercises focusing on not letting my knee get a head of my foot instead keep it perpendicular to my foot. I walked up all the stairs with zero pain! Thank you so much for sharing!
We absolutely love your demo! We have also incorporated using our Abs with glutes while climbing up or walking down stairs, it really eased the knees pressure!
I really strugle with the exercises but i won't give up They help the pain in my knee I have arthritis and is always hurting, thanks to this exercise the pain is less Thank you very much for sharing, i'm going to do them.every morning❤
This is a great explanation.. i have a knee issue since forever. They always ask me to do the steps exercise but no one explained to me like this .. I'm really glad you posted this video ✌️✌️✌️👌👌👌👌👏👏👏
Upstairs, cutting pain under the kneecap. Working on gluts strengthening, stretching the quads as quad strengthening exercises exercises aggravates it while stretching the quads makes it feel better.
@@docjenfit it's helped me, I think. It was like a correction! Thank you Doc. I suppose everyone is different and one has to do it's own reps to one's own pace and body. Otherwise you could do a Jane Fonda Workout Tape, One Size Fits All. Neat!
Such an awesome video and great, functional exercises. I wonder, would they be appropriate for a patient with knee arthrosis/osteoarthritis? Thank you so much!
@@docjenfit thank you so much! I have already watched your OA video - love the fact that degenerative changes don't equal loss of function! Movement really is the key :) Thanks for sharing your knowledge, it helps a lot💛
@@laranina2914 Wow, thank you for watching those! You're welcome to try out my knee plan on jen.health as well. You get a free week if you decide to :)
My knees hurt going down the stairs. It's the rear knee that hurts and it hurts on the inside of the knee alongside the knee cap. I'm going to try these exercises tomorrow.
Hi! This is quite a common symptom. I recommend you continue to move and strengthen your knees. I have several videos on knee pain & exercises that you can find on my page. Remember, consistency is key! Keep me updated on your journey!
This probably means you are putting too much of that pressure and torque on your knee. I would try to focus on hip mobility so you get more of the motion at the hip!
I'm 73 and our home is a split foyer so I can't ignore stairs and find myself staying home. Knees also hurt when standing from sitting on one sofa or in bathroom. I have to hold on to rails.

You can start with a few times a week! Just listen to your body :)
Both up and down.
I know that can be frustrating. Hoping these help you!
