Grunge and stoner rock are very close there are bands like Soundgarden which have one foot in both

@@MrKingkz The influence of Black Sabbath is also very visible in Alice In Chains and Melvins (that was one of the pioneers of sludge metal and the main influence of Nirvana)
@@festafunereaThis is very true Sabbath where the first to really do dark plus heavy but you can also hear bands like hawkwind The Stooges Hendrix and Cream in them as well Stoner rock/Grunge in a lot of ways was a love letter to the late 60s and early 70s Rock Punk and Metal

literally such a mix of bands. And sounds that I am hearing here that you heard with all of those bands in that period and that's what's f****** amazing, dude. Great job If you were a grunge kid, trust me, you understand exactly what I'm saying right now, but that's why we love that style of music because it all sound what we wanted to hear.

I really like what you did with this, however in my headcanon I feel like this could have been really awesome as a Kyuss flavoured tune.
If Nirvana was a stoner doom band...it'd be Windhand, in my personal opinion. Something about their riffing always sounded like Nirvana to me (Also, amazing rendition as always, brother!)

This is absolutely fantastic! Kicks the ass of the original! Awesome deep grooves and bends, perfect sludgy grunge. The chorus though was especially beautiful, I was tearing up with those melodies. Reminded me a lot of Stone Temple Pilot's debut (Where the River Goes especially). The solo harmonies were amazingly beautiful too. Would love to hear you do some more Nirvana in this style, or this could also make a perfect Southern Sandman bonus closer for a 2nd Planleft album! 🤘

This is actually what I’ve always wanted Nirvana to sound like.
I like Nirvana, but i wished they sounded closer to Alice In Chains.
just listen to Paper Cuts from "Bleach" ; AIC sound before AIC ;)
@@StonerMatt the Guitar tone is very Alice In Chains in Paper Cuts but not so much the vocals, as Kurt never yarled, like Cornell, Layne, Vedder and Weiland all did.
I think the song Blew (which is my favourite Nirvana song) better captures what I wanted Nirvana to sound like.
I like Nirvana, I just wished they were less Punk influenced and had much more Stoner influence than they had, like AIC and early Soundgarden were.
I just hate Punk music, I hate the high pitch sound to that sound, I don’t like the fast style either.
But Nirvana had a lot of influence that cancelled out most of the Punk influences they had which is why I like Nirvana, it’s just not all the Punk influences were gone.
Sounds like a combination of Stone Temple Pilots and Alice in Chains.
