The night Patterson felt the power of Ingots Bingo!!! Being a world boxing champion has its risks!! It really was sickening to watch!! Boxing was more brutal in those days!!!

No wonder Patterson lost this fight. He's throwing punches as if they cost him money or something.

I always thought he seemed weird in this fight. He didn't seem as loose as usually. He seemed tentative and stiff for some reason 🤔

John Wayne was ringside, representing white supremacy. (I loved both Ingo and Pat).

    60 years ago...bra gjort, Ingo! But...182 (82 kg) against 196 (88 kg)...that's not heavy weight! Not today it ain't...today, they weigh like...115 kg/kilos!
/J, Sweden (I hate boxing, but every Swede alive has seen this at least once...)

Go watch Liston v Eddie Machen, then watch Johannson v Eddie Machen (Peak, unbeaten and the No1 Contender at the time) before you call Ingo a bum. Also Ali was nearly KO'd by Henry Cooper and couldn't hurt Henry other than cuts in 2 fights. Johannson knocked Cooper clean out before Ali met him. Styles make fights. Cus D'Amato begged Patterson not to fight Liston because he knew the flaws in the style he himself created would be brutally exposed by Liston. You cannot come square on and try and mix it with Liston. But Sonny didn't look like such a killer against Bert Whitehurst who took him the distance twice despite weighing 185/190 pounds. Former Lightheavyweight king Archie Moore KO'd Whitehurst. Liston didn't look like much of a killer against Willie Besmanoff either (Also KO'd by Moore). So there is much more to boxing than meets th eye. It's a very complex sport. Styles make fights and Ingemar Johannson was a devastating puncher who Patterson said hit harder than Liston. He was a courageous, proud champion and certainly not a bum.
