The trans you have installed in the truck is for the diesel engine. The reason you couldn't connect the proper trans before is because the game won't let you connect the trans to the engine outside of the vehicle. They must be attached to a frame before they can connect. Either can be in the vehicle first, but must be in a vehicle.

59:20 there are only 4 bolts on the top of the bell housing, 2 trans mount, and 3 driveshaft bolts to tighten on a V8 transmission.
That looks like a i6d transmission
And it was.

Another helpful tip...if you ever build an engine on the stand, DON'T put oil in it until it's mounted in the vehicle. If you do, then leave the game and come back...all the oil will be gone and you'll blow an engine. First hand experience!! 😅
