Southern is the only band in the world that can put the score on the field at halftime. No one has figured out how Dr. Greg’s did it. I love my Southern university

But look at my post on what the other in-state & out of State, Non-Conference schools that have played at LSU received. Those schools with no Human Jukebox and fans like SU could not come close to Saturdays packed Stadium. Blacks folks still allowing themselves to be used in negotiating deals. Wake up! SU was the best Non-Conference(particularly instate) game LSU could schedule.

Human Jukebox did a better performance than I've seen them perform at Bayou Classic in years. Great song choice, a better choreographed dance routine, not as much of the shaking & bouncing & running . Really good performance, the sound is always there.
The kick was intended to take you in. Not to get too technical, but that kick is an accent done in 8 to 5 style marching. They do 7 steps between every 5 yard line. On every 8 step, the left leg hit the line simultaneously with a right kick and head lift. There's also a left to right body-sway with this style of marching. Your elbows are point outward to keep the correct distance from your fellow line members. This type of marching complements music written in 4/4 timing. Two measured are played within every five yards. It is easier to choregraph a half time show dividing paces into 2.4 and 8 steps. Not to mention, it makes things look visually cleaner when drilling.

The reason Why you need to get a Good payout is because SU was a bigger draw for LSU than any Non-Conference game held at LSU and LSU knows it. Allegedly, LSU paid $1.4 M to UL Monroe (2021) $1.15 to LA Tech 2018 $985,000 to Troy St 2017 (Troy St. Won). None of the in-state or out-of-state schools that LSU played previously, generated the hype that playing SU & bringing the Human Jukebox to Tiger Stadium presented. Heck, McNeese was paid $500,000 in a rain out game that couldn't be finished in 2015.
Southern band was fantastic. But I'm not here to talk about just the SU band. When will Black Folks learn that if you're going to play these games that you are expected to Lose at least get a "Good" money payout. Why? See the next post.
After the 70's and integration the LSU'S of the college football world get the Top Tier players, now. At least if you're going to play these "cash", but get your "butts" whipped games, go for some real money . They want you to bring these exciting bands, because they know you will be a bigger draw than a McNeese, LaTech , ULM, etc. They want YOU to fill that Non-Conference slot for a reason. Don't be that Stupid to think in terms of anything but "Money" honey. They (ain't got ) do not have that much Love for you.
All those people really wanted to see was the band, it's time HBCUs STOP getting embarrassed at these games knowing the football team is going to get their ass whooped. The money isn't worth the embarrassment IMO.
Please believe that no one at SU is embarrassed. As long as their players don’t get injured and they can go on to succeed in their conference they are fine. It’s no different from when LSU schedules some random fluff school at the beginning of the season to build their confidence. SU brought a party to Tiger Stadium, which is better than what Eastern South Michigan or whatever random school would have done. Honestly if LSU had scheduled Southern week one it would have helped to work out the kinks and they probably would have beaten Florida State…
