Yes this race was two years coming. Last year 7:32, this year w same leadoff and anchor runners, 7:29. Both of these two runners have won multiple Illinois State championships, both with tremendous range. 400 meters to 3 miles cross country.
I ran a 1:59 on a sub-8 team in the 80's when we had to run uphill, both ways!!!! Yea, these kids are amazing. They have a gift, and did the hard work to reap the rewards. Jealous. :)
These kids are really good. I ran a PBR 2:03 800 in high school--but I was 6 feet 200 pounds--so it was a decent time; but HC ran an outstanding 4 times 800--anytime HS runners average sub 1:55 for all four runners that's outstanding.
