He wanted to be accepted and loved by his “family” but instead Odin basically told him that the only reason he had kept him was so he could stop a war.
Finn Franz Loki was unnecessarily shamed. He was never told who he was or where he came from. And when he tried to figure out who he was people only saw it as him “acting out” or “being a villain”. Eventually he became used to being called a mistake or a monster because no matter what he did he was always put down. Everyone else was the monster, not him. I totally agree with what you said

I honestly get Loki. Like, he's my favorite type of character, minus the kill-everyone-part. He's smart, he's logical, he's absolutely hilarious, he can fight, he uses his powers in a common sense kinda way, and he loves, but he keeps it hidden. I kinda get him. Like, if I had been mistreated, starved of love, told I were only a war instrument and that everyone hated what I was, and then my mother, the only one who I thought loved me was killed, I would act like he did. He also had a lot of misunderstandings that people blame him for. Like, the last time he was on Earth they thought he was a god. No wonder he thought humans wanted to be ruled.

The innocence on his face at the beginning, it makes you doubt if he's actually the God of Mischief. That's what makes Loki the best; he's not your regular bad guy, he's got many layers that make him so delightfully complicated yet relatable. He's more important than people acknowledge and I love him!

I really miss Loki and I know there is a legion of fans out there who feel the same way. Really hope that the upcoming series do justice to this brilliant character and the immeasurable talents of the man who brings it to life, the outstanding Tom Hiddleston. Nothing but love and respect for Loki and Tom.

I really love Loki, and this perfectly describes his character. He was always told that he had the same chances as Thor, that they were equals. He was always told he could have the throne too, just like Thor. With Odin telling him that he was Laufeys Son, his whole world crashed. He never wanted the throne. He just wanted to be Thors equal.
Through this whole video all I could think was “aaaawwwwww he’s so dang cute! I love you more then words! You’re precious and I just want to hug you!”

Has anyone realised in this series the brief spectacle of his marvelous acting prowess?
- Most importantly in the scene when he confronts Hopkins.
- When he kills the man in the gathering and then grins.
- The deleted scene in the dungeon when he screams.
And so many other scenes when expressions make his face and the tremendous voice modulation. The passion he brings out in the character of Loki.
His role was short, but if you observe, he deserves Oscar for playing antagonist.
Tom Hiddleston is one of the finest actors. I wonder why is he still not received the recognition he truly deserves. Hope to see so much more of him in great works to come.
A villain isn’t a bad person, just a person who has been overtaken by rage. Rage they aren’t scared to show like the rest.
