I wonder if it's because her talent is precious. In all seriousness. We are drawn to her in some deeply connective role that requires a quiet soul and presence to cling to every word and note. The "megahitters" are out there, loud, proud and in your face. Anne, lovingly and softly invites you to share in her inner self. I'm fumbling bady here. Trying to figure out her magnetism, the respect she is given, in an instant after humor and rowdiness... It's like that old addage about beautiful music soothing the savage beast. Those of us that are fortunate enough to be drawn under her spell - because she sings with a voice that is in harmony with your soul. It's indescribable, really.

All laughter then sheer silence and a round of applause, you know, there aren't many musicians that give you that 'just listen' vibe and this was one of those.
wow, look at the audience, totally silence whilst the song, they don't want to miss any word of this angels voice.
And I think everybody who ever find this video, was absolute silent along the song, too.
I definitely was. She sang very beautiful, nobody wants to miss any second of it, cause she touched every human beings heart with this.

I just saw her sing this live last night at her concert in Philly. Our audience (full of metal heads mind you) was completely silent too. Her voice is so captivating and enchanting that it mesmerizes.
She made a rock song sound like a wonderful piece of folk music.

Just had the pleasure to see her solo performance in Montreal. It was a magical moment. Between each song, it was quite pleasant to hear her joke and have fun with the crowd. The moment she played a note, the entire venue became quiet and so attentive. It was surreal. She gave all the big metalheads quite a few goosebumps, including me! We did sing along many songs but somehow, everyone tried to keep the volume down haha. I've seen In Flames, Opeth, Muse, Metallica, Iron maiden, NIN, Janes Addiction, Dream Theater and hundreds more... Anneke is on a completely different level. I could have stood there silently enjoying her music for days. Do yourself a favor, go see her when she's near your town.

This woman has a lot of hype surrounding her. I wanted to check her out and this is the first song I've heard her sing. She is fantastic, beautiful voice!
If this was your first song, you should check out her other like 2000 songs... each one a masterpiece of its own, brilliant merely by that unique voice with its beauty not from this earth...

@@lizzyq7807 if you like Prog Metal, check her latest band, Vuur. If you like heavier and slower stuff, check The Gathering's Mandylion and If_Then_Else. You can listen to her voice in lots of features in other bands albums, like Amorphis, Moonspell, Novembers Doom, Ayreon, etc, etc.

Not a big fan of prog. But i will check out her other stuff. I only discovered European metal approximately 1 year ago and i am 41. Metal in America SUCKS ASS! It's all comercialized and mainstream. I have been DYING for good new metal!!! I'm sick of all the good stuff from the 80s and 90s. European metal has many different bands with different sounds and A LOT of creativity! I still have SO MANY other bands to check out. Thanks for your suggestions! :)
