Ugh same! No one ever knows what they want, until you put something else in front of them. Makes me not even want to cook at all. My mom said if we couldn’t pick we had to eat whatever she cooked. I think that’s fair. We also did dishes as kids so she didn’t have to do the cooking and cleanup.
I went n “strike”once. As in if you want something specific for dinner you have to make it yourself otherwise you get what you get. After a few nights of complaining and me not caving, the point was made

Kim...with the blueberries freeze half of the package and make homemade blueberry muffins when time allows you. Make a blueberry naked shakes (use one of your immersion blender) use up any yogurt fruit etc. Just some suggestions ☺️
“Shrink-flation” when manufacturers have made packages (and sometimes the product itself) smaller in size but the price is approximately the same. A good example of this is Poptarts. They did this a while ago. The size the the pastry is smaller, just a bit but it all adds up 😠
Always a good morning with you Kim!! I think I need to do a Costco run, my closest is Sarasota but excited that they are building one in North Port. If you don’t use your blueberries quickly, get yourself a large mason jar from target and they will last a long time. There is just two of us and I do this with all berries. I think a lot of the packaging is getting a bit smaller these days. Your kids are so darn cute and Wolfgang is getting so big. Thank you as always for the great videos!!!
I love your little hand, cracks me up every time! I cook with a lot of leftovers. Had Mexican when my daughter & fam came for dinner ( chicken enchiladas, nacho cheese dip, bean dip, cauliflower Spanish rice, hard & soft shell tacos plus fixings). My husband got Wet Burritos with the leftovers as all I had to do was wrap it all up then bake w/Enchilada sauce w/beef gravy & cheese. He loved them.

And the pork tenderloins are the best deal that is rarely talked about! One of our favorites for sure. I enjoyed the dance break with sweet Meredith. Keep doing what you are doing!!

We have chickens . My husband built our coop out of reclaimed barn wood . The feed isn’t too badly priced around here but they also like table scraps. Their favorite thing seems to be pecking on scraps from cutting up fruit. The eggs are great and totally worth it!
Hi Kim I use to meal plan when I was a Mum to four at home. Plus mJm and dad so Six of us. What we used to do is each member of the family got to choose their favourite meal. Not for a specific day just six meals. Then on a Sunday we normally had a roast. If it was a birthday weekend that person got to choose meals for whole weekend. It worked really well. Sometimes they even helped me to prep some times. I had a calendar and I would write their choices on day it fitted with after school activities. Really worked well.

Okay… you should know that I listen to your videos while I work around my house so I’m not always strictly watching and sometimes I walk out the room because well life. So when I came back in with a fresh load of laundry to fold and saw the plastic hand, it took me a min to process.. that’s all! Thanks for being you!
Bacon lettus and tomato sandwiches for lunch is so quick with that bacon I also buy the crumble for salads omlets ect staple here and equivalent to 3 lbs. Uncooked great price
So I do that with my ground beef, but I cook all my beef first and drain and then put in the bags or vacuum seal them. Then I can reheat in mins. It really cuts down on the time it takes to turn into a meal later on. I also do the same with my breakfast sausage. Basically, any kind of ground meat. If I want hamburger patties, I form them and freeze that way with Parchment paper between them.
I ask my husband before going shopping everytime if he has a meal he wants or if he needs anything and of course the answer is always no. Until you have already gone shopping then they feel the need to tell you a meal they would of rather had or that they are out of shampoo.
oh my goodness on the hubby with no meal ideas.. totally relate :) I just made a very similar recipe for energy balls.. i added 3 strips of dried mango.. i did use a food processor.. the little flecks of chew are nice.. i added a scoop vital proteins collagen and 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder.. and the secret ingredient is 1/3 c choc krispie cereal... so good! Gives a crisp that stay even after a couple days in fridge :)
You are right! They have shrunk the size of many things!( and prices increased ) but it’s very noticeable it’s by many ounces! Yogurt, jello , pudding juice too jelly and peanut butter what I’ve noticed!

the blueberries - freeze them! they can be used for baking/pancakes, etc, but also frozen blueberries are delish, they get almost creamy in texture and make for a great popsicle/ice cream replacement for kiddos looking for something cold in the heat of the day when it's hot out
