HOW I REVIEW:
As you might know from my „How I make a buying decision“ video: Rather than just looking at the pros, I like to evaluate the cons or flaws of an item and then evaluate if I can live with them. That is why in my video reviews I concentrate more on the cons of an item rather than going over all the features. Therefore everything shown is just a fraction of all the points that go into the verdict and score of an item.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A QUICKLOOK AND A REVIEW:
A Quicklook usually covers pre-production units or items that I only used for a short period of time. While Reviews cover final items that I have reviewed intensively.

I’d say the majority of super high end bags are ugly and not even close to worth their price. People buy them for the status and the companies know that.

I have an ember forge but as a 5’2” woman, my Birkin 30 gets more usage for sure. Hermes has aftercare for their bags and it is one of the main reasons I get everything from my notebook covers to coffee tables at Hermes.

I just needed to see this after listing to the spotify podcast lol. These luxury bags are crazy but not worth it in my opinion (regarding the features etc). I actually liked the episode even though there was no guest! Will you ever do another Bag-nerd Meetup in Germany? I would be down for one!

Will say, the Tumi Alpha Dual Access luggage is very impressive from a materials and quality components. Worth the $1000 price tag? YMMV, but if this lasts me 10+ years, better than replacing or complaining about the lack of quality with lesser priced bags I've had in the past.
Yeah that bag looks pretty cool. I just made some calculations out of curiosity: If you'd travel 20 days per year for 10 years total. And you'd pay 1000USD for that bag, that's 5USD per day of travel in those 10 years. If you look at it that way, it is actually a fair investment imho. That being said: I personally would probably not spend 1000usd on a rolling luggage.
@@Youknowthebo I do think it was overpriced for what you get. But I’ve found myself needing a rolling luggage for a bit and have heard good things from colleagues regarding their warranty and fixing issues post-warranty. I’m hoping it ends up being worthwhile and not a poor investment 😅
So my wife will not complaint i have too many Goruck, Black Ember or Evergoods. Cos a single LV of hers cost more than all of the bags i own.

I have not tested a bag of them yet. But the design is cool and overall look very interesting
In my opinion those bags are for stupid people who want to pretend to be something they are not.
It's just "look at me, I can buy a 20,000 euro bag."
And why do I say stupid people? It is the simple fact that it is a bag that does not provide the good quality of materials or durability that we can find in other bag brands.
So you are paying a ridiculous extra price for a poor quality bag.
Luxury items tend to be a bit ridiculous tbh
