Gold is a great cover by them. They just sit and sing, so simple. Somebody That I Used to Know is fun to watch.
One of the two perfect songs they did during the Covid year of 2020. This was put out late summer I think. The other perfect song for that year was Thank You from their Christmas album from 2020. Thank You is an original and completely different than Mad World.
Yes Scott picks up the bass when Avi (now Matt) are leading. This is ciear on the live version of 'Hallaluah' from their Christmas tv special where scott obviously covers the deep base while avi leads. Beautifully done!

Whenever Matt or Avi are taking lead it is Scott singing the bass part. Loved the reaction.
I love your reactions. Keep trying. You are not the only one who has trouble with copywrite blockage. Yes, it is Scott who covers the bass line when Matt (Avi) sings lead. He has the range to do it (albeit not the basso profundo or growling notes). He has to be able to do this for "live" performances. Good examples of where you can actually see this are: A Pentatonix Christmas live tour. And, you can see him singing bass in The Sound of Silence official video. There are other examples, but those really stand out to me.

Good reaction. Maybe you have to blurr or overlay the video to prevent copyright issues (SME is kind of known for extremely enforcement of there copyright) . I think all Penthaholics know this, don't worry about.

It's all a straight acapella recording, Scott covers base, but normally they transition to the person singing. So you can read the mouth to chord
I am a Pentaholic, but more I am absolutely obsessed with their originals: Sing, Can't Sleep Love, Water, Coffee in Bed, Thank You, and Be My Eyes come to mind. would love your reactions to a few of those.... and with Christmas coming up soon, of course all of their Christmas albums. I do not think you can find even 1 bad song in their complete discography. Still would make that challenge for you to find one you do not like.

In my previous comment I forgot to mention that the group issued a statement that in doing this song, they wanted to bring more light to the fact that there are people out there who suffer social marginalization do to their issues (abuse, neglect, depression, atypical neural brain function, or mental illness). There are members of the group who have had to personally deal with some these. Kirsty has been pretty open about her bouts of deep depression and self-image issues. Listen closely to the lyrics of Be My Eyes and Love Me When I Don't, both of which she wrote. Thanks again for your wonderful reactions.

I love Pentatonix "Mad World" video. It's one of my favorites. They are all so amazing. I did not know how much I needed to hear Matt and Mitch sing together until "Come Along" and this one. Thanks for the great reaction.

@@CarmenReacts I have 3 reactors i always check out, you're one of the three; a couple i just check out for specific song. Well done. From some of the other reactors i watch, it seems different reactors get different copyright issues. Some get full video no pausing, others have full video but pauses, some have full video but have to have the opacity fairly high. others have to have edited video, others have to do audio slightly out of sync with video, a few get blocked no matter what they do. Some of it i think is whatever mood the copyright person is in at that time.

Enjoy your reviews .. I would suggest POPSpring concert which is live performance with 3 originals and Evolution of MJ or Come Along. As others have commented blurring or lowering the opacity or putting text over the video helps. I think I have heard that VEVO videos get hit the hardest with blocks.
Thanks, I do know the tricks for blocks due to visual copyright, as you can see in this video, I lowered the opacity. However, the other video that couldn’t be uploaded had an audio claim, so it was impossible to alter that without our dear PTX sounding like chipmunks 😂

Don't worry about blurring the video or putting text over it. We have all seen them many times. Link to the video in the comments and if we want to, we can check that out. It is nice to be able to make out the video image so we can see which part you are talking about.

A lot of other reactors I know have some luck in getting things through the block by putting words overtop the faded video as well, doesn't really help if the sound gets blocked but it seems a lot of the times (not all the time) that it's an issue with the video
Thank you! I have a few videos with text over the video and that works, but there are a few instances where the audio gets blocked and there is just nothing I can do. But Patreon is a good alternative for that 🙂

This was done during lockdown, so the simple with haunting visuals was a great idea. Yes, Scott covers base. I like to think of PTX as a stack of interchangeable Barbie dolls. Matt and Scott are interchangeable, Mitch and Kirstie are often confused for one another, Kevin has been teaching Matt more beat boxing. Kevin could interchange with either Mitch or Kirstie for high parts, but his voice is different from theirs so you definitely know when its him, rather than one of them. As for the copyright issues, you likely got a double whammy on Butter/Dynamight from both PTX's label but also BTS's production company.
