Your idea works for a little bit , but the same error comes back. I removed the battery cover, batter, roller, label and four screws covered by the label. Wiped behind the display and bar that this display runs on. So far so good.
Good video. It didn't save my $3 amazon calipers, they're still borked... but... you know... they're 5 dollar calipers, so I didn't expect much. :) They still work great as manual calipers. I'm definitely favoriting this though for if I get some better ones. :)
Ok, I'm an idiot. Took the calipers apart and put them back together. TOok the battery out and put it back in to reset. Tried your method again. Still issues. Then I got the spare battery that came with the calipers and put it in. They work good as new. LOL czcams.com/video/AynXoLjYrKc/video.html
I cleaned my caliper with very little soap on a cloth because I was going to use it indoors by my computer, and then this happened. I did as shown in this video but the same problem remained. I did put a very small layer of oil (5-56) on the measuring surface and it fixed the problem. I guess the caliper cant be too clean to work properly..!
I had this air but not the same brand of caliper. Completely disassembled write down to all the circuit boards. Cleaned a bunch of corrosion but it's still has the error
HELP....my caliper is driving me crazy. I have watched video after video and cannot get this figured out. Sounds really stupid, I know, but I cannot get the battery compartment open to change the battery. I've tried to slide the top down but it doesn't move. Removing the small screw on the back, as someone said I needed to do, did not help, it just exposed half the battery. Does anyone have a clue what I can try next, it is dead as a door nail.....Mirsades
This helped perfectly. Never thought that dust could be the problem.
Thank you so much! Great solution and no fluff intros or anything. A+++ video!
Wow...saved my calipers. Thanks man!
Thank you! You saved my day

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! SAVED MY $600 DEVICE LOL
Thx working now, I love tessa btw never had problems...
Problem solved, thank you!
Thanks Alex. It works
Looks like this saved my Mitutoyo calipers. They kept defaulting to .05" despite zeroing out. Seems stable now.

Your tip of adding oil helped get my caliper working. Thanks. :D
thank you, its work
Great trip 👍

What if its doesn't work anyway and still show wrong measurements, is there any device to calibrate it ?
Nice thanks
So simple
