Loved this movie!! Wish more people saw it but I blame the marketing. Everyone I told I was going to see it had no idea what I was talking about. What a joy of a movie.
I know! The marketing team really dropped the ball on this movie. I didn’t know this movie even existed until just a few days ago. Shame that most movies nowadays don’t get re-released in theaters anymore. I think if they really did a better job to promote the movie again, the movie would do really well during Halloween.
Just watched Renfield. It was genuinely brilliant. Nick Cage is genuinely such a brilliant villain and encapsulates a number of Dracula characters along with his own fantastic lunacy. Nick Holt is also an excellent lead role and operates as a perfect alter-ego. The additional cast are clearly enjoying their work and performing first class work.
I rented this the other day and after the first watch I literally had it on loop for the next 46 hours that I had it. So much fun. And the scene where Renfield is trying to confront Dracula in his little apartment, and Dracula just ripping him apart, broke my heart.
You need to find a hobby.

Nick Cage is so underrated this was brilliant acting being campy and scary at the same time.
Saw it. loved it. Such a great way to show copendency, abusive relationships and the steps to pry oneself away from that. I'd show it to counselors as in intro to helping others.😊 Kinda sweet at the end.

This movie is totally bonkers, and Cage's performance is next level, even for him. I'm *_NOT_* a horror movie fan, at all, but I loved this one through and through!
I just finished watching it and I really have no words to express how much I love it. It's such a great movie I wish it had more recognition, both Nicholas Hoult and Nicolas Cage got me so entertained and Cage was so funny being so sarcastic in that conversation with Renfield

Amazon wouldn't let me rent it, (a glitch, don't know why) so I had to buy it. I am so glad I did. I watched it 3 times in the first week. I'd have liked to see more of the Dracula character, though, although I do realise that this IS called "Renfield".

Mostly loved this movie - but the ending would have been far better, and funnier, if Dracula tried to reform himself and ended up begrudgingly in a Narcisist Support Group or something, trying to win Renfield back. Nick Cage as Dracula was perfection.
K so Nick Cage problems stem from his viewing of "Nosferatu" at age five? Makes sense, that movie is creepy as f**k. Can't wait to see Renfield.

Fantastic movie. Incredible look, stunning cinematography, made me really appreciate splatatick, and great commitment by the actor. But more than that, the writing and attention to tone and detail is truly remarkable. I’m a survivor of narcissistic abuse so seeing such a poignant story tell such truths meshed shockingly well with the splatstick ridiculousness. Could not have been better
Shit, what a great damn movie this was! One of the first gore-fest films I’ve ever thought, ‘that was adorable!’ It was funnier than shit, it was full of little jumps, moments of intense thriller shit, and the moral was fitted in perfectly. People. It ain’t an Oscar winner, cause it’s not trying to be, but… Go. See. This shit! It’s hilarious!

8:54 when Nick is talking about the close up and it’s so true about the eyes. There’s something about looking at a character’s eyes in a close up and noticing that their eyes are not conveying the emotion that the scene is supposed to elicit. On the reverse, seeing a character’s eyes show the raw emotion that moves the scene really adds to the emotion of it. It can break my heart, make me laugh, and can even make me mad and it all adds to the enjoyment of it.
Nicolas Cage is the best actor I've ever seen is greater in every movies Ghost Rider Lord of War the Wicked Man Gone in 60 Seconds much more

The only good think about this movie was Nicholas Cage. He looked so cool as Dracula. But man, this movie sucked so hard. Didn't like it. I would like to See Cage as Dracula in a much more serious Dracula movie. The Last voyage of the Demeter was amazing 😍
