100% his goalkeeping for the first goal at the Bernebeau was horrific, I'll never forget it. His decision making isn't the best...he spends too much time with the ball on his feet but he isn't half as good with his hands.

I'm a huge Ederson fan and I believe if he can work a little bit on shot stopping with his hands he'll be one of the most complete GK-s of all time, because when it comes to playing the ball with the feet he's second to none. Maybe because the defence is so strong that the opposite teams barely have any shot on target could be a factor but nonetheless I really hope this next season everyone gets to shine, including our GK with some wonderful saves.
I love the first one because he was at the edge of his box and managed to get back and recover, deserved Golden Glove
Say what you want about Ederson. He might not had a great season, but he still managed to get 20 CS and the golden gloves. Just imagine him having a great season.

One thing I noticed is with every vitals save comes his teammates hailing him. That's alone is a team spirit saying. Nice one Big guy
Ederson has saved us a lot this season especially in a lot of the tight games we won, people who know nothing about football think he is a bad keeper he is the best ball playing keeper in the world and he isnt too bad with his hands too. Most of the things people castigate ederson for are shots no other keeper would save.
This just isn't true. I love Eddie as much as anyone else, but his shot stopping abilities are average. That was shown against Real, Villa and West Ham where he lot in most of the shots on target he faced. He is the best ball playing keeper in the world no doubt, but many are ahead of him in terms of shot stopping.
@@abdulahalameri2556 I am not saying he is the best at shot stopping but he is the best at what he does and he is integral to the way we play, he makes great saves once in a while and the truth is no other keeper would succeed as much as he has in this team
@@Nathan_avy The way Emerson concedes goals are terrible. He is the best goalkeeper in the world with his feet, but shot stopping...my God. His goalkeeping coaches need to help him review his timing of saves this past season

Think about the Real Madrid game at the Bernebeau, he stood still in stead of moving, the worst goals he has conceded were the ones in which the man sat down or stood still. If he cannot improve on saves I can accept that, but he can definitely improve on his GK positioning.

List those games in addition to the ones I mentioned. I download the matches after watching them during live broadcast so I am curious what you come up with so I can go and check again. Everton away? Southampton at the Etihad? Make sure you remember the actual attempts and saves

with all due respect to Ederson and the game with his feet, but he is very far from Joe Hart !!! in the second match against Real Madrid, Ederson could have saved Rodrigo's second goal when the ball flew clear over his head, but Ederson looked at the ball
Ederson is a lot more consistent, he also took the madrid game to extra time with an insane save to deny Rodrygo a hatrick. In my opinion he never gets to the same levels as hart sometimes did, but also makes less mistakes

I dont blame ederson for rodrygo's header. Thats a freak goal. Asensio literally flicked it on and it just hit rodrygo's head perfectly and flew in right afterwards. That's just football. Rodrygo could probably only do that 1/100 attempts and that happened to be the 1. Just cuz ederson doesn't move doesn't mean he could have saved it. We don't know what it looks like from his perspective. I get sometimes he could do better but I won't blame him for what happened in Madrid
