  • Here's where the shortcomings really shine.
    At the start of the run, this was one of two fight where I really wanted to get the lowest turn count (which is 5, incidentially). In DC2, I reached 7 with 11 units - which I still feel is pretty impressive. In this run, I don't have max stats - which really hurts me, here. This is also Hard Mode, whereas DC2 was Normal Mode. The additional damage that enemies dish out is apparent in this fight.
    The battle takes 9 turns. It's still not a bad fight.
    Additional comments about the run:
    1. Running a Mystic Rush wasn't the best plan, but that was a choice I made purely for the fun of it. A combat class would have been significantly better.
    2. Runemaiden Pagus. It's not as hard to get as you'd think, and the Heartache in the 2nd slot means he can reach 4 bonuses to his Combat Arts (Class, Rubber Belt, Heartache). If his STR was maxed, he'd be a jaw-dropper. The only mistake I made with him was to give him a Wand instead of a Tambo. Water Hazard outperforms Daisy Chain due to it being a single-target art.
    3. Lancer McGrady. Another unit that was done for fun. You can see in most videos that he packs a punch - which is not what most players expect from everyone's favorite generic healer. It is difficult to reach the class, however, as he actually runs the risk of Scholar if his INT passes his STR after INT:41.
    4. Marauder Nora. She begins with high Mace levels for such an early-game unit. To avoid Mysticknight, you have to raise her Mystic Art levels to a point where Mace is not considered co-significant before INT:41 - which is a small window of opportunity. I actually fell short and had to place her in reserves until she learned Hexes as I was one Mystic level shy. On that note - I should have made her a Specialist, instead. It would have meant not recruiting her until BR34, but that's not as big a sacrifice as it sounds.

      +Cloud I know...there's a lot that could have gone better, that's for sure. And, if I wanted to roll the dice with another week of attempts, maybe I could get lucky. So many strong starts that ended with Galaxy, though. I can only handle so much frustration before I accept what I get. Heh.
