Diakko is my favorite ship. I really want this ship to be canon so bad. I feel like Trigger was teasing us with the cupid bee episode.

they were, however when they showed that screen switching from yaoi to Diakko in the final episode, that gives me hope. Everyone knows that they are in love.
Their inital plan was to make andrew akko canon, but they discussed it a bit and they discharged the idea, in favour of a neither of them canon, because it's a show based on friendship.

Plot twist: when Andrew was stung by the Cupid bee, the Cupid bee lost its “Cupid” part. All of the stings it did were normal stings that made them feel weird. It made Diana feel strange so she incautiously decided to spit out her feelings to Akko.

I just finished the show and honestly? They should of been canon. Diana saying she was jealous of Akko really made me feel things. I loved when they worked together to defeat the missile and it's just a really underrated anime in general. They definitely should of been canon their relationship dynamic is absolutely beautiful as it progresses. Even if they're really good friends I absolutely love seeing them together and working together to take down new obstacles. This makes me want a season 2 even more 🥺

I think they didn’t kiss because studio trigger thought that girls kissing was a topic a bit too mature for like the 7-10 year old kids watching this. Because the show is a kids show.

This pretty much confirms to me that Diakko is canon and that if it werent for the strict and homophobic laws of Japan they would've totally been together by the end of the show. At least this was the intention of the creator.
