First, we drive up to the snowiest place on earth, then we hike to find our location, dig into the deep snow, cook a camping dinner, set up camp, make a campfire, and spend the night! Follow us on our snowshoe journey across alpine terrain as we build, camp, and cook from our bushcraft home.

My brother was in the Army at Ft.Lewis, Washington. When I would visit him from Indiana I just couldnt believe the view, seeing Mt.Rainer everyday was simply spectacular. Great video! Great expierences.

Next time dig into the side of the steepest hill...that way you don't have to throw the snow up you can just throw it out or slightly down hill.

Just found your channel. Great content! Always follow your dreams, and make them come true. A couple suggestions on this type of camping, maybe a portable wood stove would be great as you could have it near you where you're sleeping to help keep you warmer. Plus, maybe a tarp to cover your entrance would help keep it a little warmer too. Looking forward to your next episode. Stay safe. Enjoy life. God is good and may he continue to Bless you both.

The snow cave is nice but pretty big. The entrance also is pretty big and would allow a lot of heat to escape but then with a fire that big you would need the extra ventilation. Normally the snow cave or quinzhee hut is smaller and meant for a night or two. A candle or much much smaller fire is used as you don’t want ice forming on the walls or raising the CO2 level
How do you make sure the roof doesn’t collapse on you when sleeping?

I probably would of stayed there a couple days especially if you had tablets to watch downloaded movies or something. What would of happened if you lit the fire in the cavs in that trench you dug out and do you think somebody filled the hole in later

When you have a hot pan you can just take the stick of butter and hold it to the pan instead of cutting off chunks

Try warming and toasting your tortillas 1st before you do the eggs. It makes a huge difference and mission tortillas are ok but if you find grandmas tortillas get them there way better. And a box of gloves🤙
What keeps the ceiling from collapsing and falling on top of you?
The Cascade mountain snow is often called "cascade concrete" because, since temps here exceed freezing most days, meltwater from trees and surface snow mixes with the snowpack, then refreezes over night causing the snow to be very solid. If you build a snow cave here with a rounded roof, it'll stay put for a long time!
