He turned back the time to 2-0-0-5 in the first part of Violets tale when Jenny and Screech were born. Jenny and Screech were both 14 when they died.

Great job and you've redeemed yourself from the last reaction--not that that other one was all that bad. But yeah, you made corrections and we're all out here learning and getting better. You and the wife had no idea what you were getting into with Hi Ren and really, who could have been ready for that, lol? On this one, you got the ending and the family connections, which is really what we're all out here for when we're watching reactions to this masterpiece. I'm kidding--but that twist at the end! I really love your Screech connection in the melting like snow bit. Violet's abuse started young, so her only defence was not to aggravate and stay silent. Jenny intuitively did the same. You have now completed the two longest videos there are! Each tale came out separately, Jenny and Screech in quick succession, and Violet's tale quite a bit later. But the cross references are easier when you watch them in one go. All three are live one takes. Really great reaction!

Great reaction man. The silence thing is pretty profound and hits home to a lot of domestic / sexual violence victims; it's not just about Jenny inheriting Violet's meekness. Many victims find themselves either too terrified to react at all and / or decide that maybe if they just stay still and be quiet the horrible thing that's happening to them will go away. And if not, maybe they can just imagine they're somewhere else. It's devastatingly well portrayed by Ren here.

Yes. If you just don’t move you can (*try) to pretend it didn’t happen. And then you bury it deep deep down and stay silent. Sometimes, as in Violet’s Tale, you know that saying something really won’t matter. You begin to feel that you don’t matter either. To this day, I just shut down, because nobody wants to see what I really am going through.

You nailed it, great job! One minor correction, Screech was not looking to confide in anyone, he was looking to hide at Patrick's house (and then his girl's place). Interesting factoid not explicitly stated: Reason Patrick wasn't home is very same reason Screech's girl was busy, if you know what I'm sayin' 😛 Also, just like Hi Ren, all 3 tales were shot live in one take, which lightheartedly brings to mind two moments from Screech's Tale:
1 - Ren REALLY did play flawless guitar while walking down the stairs
2 - When Screech screamed at the top of his lungs at the police, I wonder if anyone in a nearby building thought it was real and called the real cops 😀

Another point that might be worth thinking about is that Screech was 14 years old. That makes Jenny 14 years old. Jenny had walked that 'floor' a thousand times before that's almost three years of walking that street ... why would a 14yo girl in high heeled shoes be out late at night walking a dingy street? I think Jenny was a 14yo hooker.

Yeah I was going to check out more just wasn’t sure if I was going to do it on my own or on the channel. Will see how this goes, if continue seeing the support I’m seeing all do every video he has!
Guess the morale of the story is, that if kids grow up in bad conditions, like the twins did, and their mother was from a sad place to, and dies, leaving the kids witn no parrents, they might have a dark fate coming to, as every kid need someone to trust and lean on, and a guide to life..
I would have paid good money to be the guy sitting up on the balcony as Ren did this.

You may be one of the few I’ve seen that picked up on the fact that “found someplace to sleep” and “I guess she escaped” meant she left this plane of existence and not ACTUALLY escaped or found a place to sleep.

I think jenny's tale and screech's tale were released separately 2 or 3 years ago and Violet's tale was about 6 months ago. Each recorded in one live take. He often returns to themes and puts Easter eggs in his videos/lyrics. A sad but very important story of generational trauma, with mum and dad of violet both showing signs of their own childhood traumas. Thanks for your reaction, brilliant penny-drop at the end. If you like singing try Ren and Chinchilla live 'chalk outlines' or if you fancy some RAP try 'genesis', 'power' 'losing it' or 'the hunger'. Both this and Hi Ren were filmed live and in one take Ren tells stories better then most movie directors and producers and in less time too, Ren deserves a freaking Oscar.

You're under an hour from Broadway? Same here, I'm out on Long Island. Only went to Broadway once. Back in 2000 when Sebastian Bach of Slid Row was in Jekyll in Jekyll & Hyde. The girl I was with at the time was a huge Skid Row fan growing up, me not so much. I liked them but I was more of a Slayer, Biohazard, Sick Of It All, Agnostic Front ect fan but you do what you gotta do for the ladies haha
His performance in Jekyll & Hyde was great. But Ren's performance in everything he does is just on a whole different level.

Great piece introduction to Ren the story teller but there is Ren the rapper with The hunger, Genesis and many more or Ren the singer with Chalk outlines, freckled angels or the social Ren with Money game, Crucify your culture or the cover Ren with his band the big push with Bob Marley’s I shot the sheriff, Sting’s Engligh man in new york, Black Sabath war pigs and on and on. Just go thru the rabbit hole and come out so glad you went

It’s really common for survivors of childhood sexual abuse, like Violet was (her father would tuck her tight, but never left the room, I’ll spare you of the things he did, I’m sure her mother knew-he was sexually molesting her) to learn to stay silent when being harmed. If your no is ignored over and over for years, it’s silenced out of you, because your no has no power. That’s why she stayed silent when being brutalized-she had already had her protests brutalized out of her by her father.
By the time Stevie came across her in this part of her story, she had already learned her “no” had no power, and had retreated so far within herself that no protest was possible. Of course, by the time Stevie was beating her to death, she literally couldn’t protest anymore, because he beat her so badly she was on her literal death bed.
