- Villain-Con: Minion Blast is the newest ride at Universal Studios Orlando, but it's also very strange. In this video, I'll be recapping my first impressions of the ride and land as a whole.

Hey everyone! Be sure to tell me what you think of this new format, good or bad! I'll be back with a new scripted video soon!
I didn’t think there was anything overly wrong with this video format but I do prefer the scripted videos. But I think this format worked will for a first thoughts/ “get something out super quick” for a new attraction
Scripted will definitely remain priority! But yeah, in this case I wanted to get my thoughts out on this ride as quickly as possible. I don't think there's many other scenarios I'll be using this new format.
Great video! I agree with you on the theming of the land with the sound stages and other stuff.
I worry that Universal are kind of backing themselves into bit of a corner with these bandaid additions lately. I would almost prefer them to wait and do nothing for the time being, then come together with a cohesive vision for the whole park and do it properly rather than lock themselves into sub-par things like Minion Blast. Glad they're putting more thought into themed food offerings though.
Props to whatever team is in charge of making the queues. They singlehandedly make some weaker rides worth visiting.
I actually know someone who worked on Kong’s queue. It’s very interesting learning about how Much goes into it
Yeah especially for gast and furious which is the worst ride on site by far but the queue is really really good
I liked the unscripted, it was like a short podcast
I like the unscripted "podcast" format.
They had to keep the sound stages for HHN. I feel like for what the had to work with they did a great job. I’m not the biggest fan of Minions but I respect it. I think the cafe was an awesome addition. It wasn’t just a copy and paste from a movie. It’s it’s own thing, and it understands the vibe of the movies.
It's the first ride in the park, it really needed a high volume people mover belt.
Interesting video
While I miss Shrek 4D, I did enjoy Villain-Con. For me, it’s a tie.
You're talking about how much they pay for the parking? What about the Fast Pass?
How do you get a villain badge in universal studios Hollywood okay.
I am so excited that they opened villain con in universal studios Hollywood I want to go too Universal Studios Hollywood for I can meet the minions.
Until that next E-ticket arrives for this park and gives it a real shot in the arm, it'll just be the "HHN park" for lots of people. In the short term I think Epic Universe is gonna hurt this park specifically. It could've had Nintendo in place of kidszone, it almost had ministry of magic back near diagon alley and would've made cohesive sense, but those things went to Epic. Time will tell. It gets tougher when you gotta spread your resources out between 3 parks instead of 2. One reason i always do a park to park ticket when i go here is because USF just cant cut it for me on its own.
I want to go too universal studios Hollywood for I can meet the minions and go to villain con or minion cafe also minion land okay.
Would you say it's better that Fast and Furious and Jimmy Fallon?
Absolutely, yes. Clearly much more effort put into this ride than those
@@hellomerio that's very good to know
This park is having such an identity crisis
It is very strange having this be essentially the first thing you see when you enter the park, I agree. At the very least it's nice seeing a semi-coherent land here though
I don’t know why I feel this, but I think that this is caused a lot by rip ride rock it, it just doesn’t fit in with the park
RRR would've made more sense in IOA, but having it in US gives coaster fans a reason to (pay to) visit US.
@@sanpuru1969 honestly, I think a highly immersive dark ride like rise of the resistance or forbidden journey would be better at getting people in the park
First
Stick to the scripted bro! 💙
