Hi Dev! Sometimes I'm so inspired by 60s/70s men fashion, Brian Jones, the Beatles, Lindsey Buckingham and so on.. So I would love to see a "feminine" lookbook inspired by men of this era, or a lookbook on Andrew 😉
That would be so dope
haha yeah good idea
This would deffo be a cool vid idea.
I was thinking the same thing, a George Harrison, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Alice Cooper, Marc Bolan, Ringo Starr or John Lennon lookbook would be cool to see ❤❤❤
what a great idea ♥️
Just realized that this probably is the first time that I’ve seen your forehead haha, this hair really suits you though!!
Amazing that Debbie is still inspiring women.
Fantastic! But as a girl who remembers Debbie Harry's heydey... The late 70s and 80s were ALL about heavy eyeliner. And the style was not to look smokey exactly but to look punk or New Wave. You had been up all night dancing and your eyeliner was really smeared.
That was the look and it was awesome.
And cheekbones weren't contoured... They were straight thunderbolts down the side of your face.
Because again you were emaciated because you only danced all night and sleep all day.
Eating was to be avoided.. Not healthy but that was the look! :)
And you are awesome and I love your vlog and you look beautiful. My comments are from a historical perspective..
I really enjoyed reading your account. It’s great to see that in that era for the first time it was about rusticness and not having to impress anyone but yourself. I think the late 70s, 80s brought that out in people. Allowing women (and men) to cross the line and do what they wanted. It was about the controversy and not caring about the judgment that came with it. It was about pushing boundaries.
One time a woman who was older told me “dear you shouldn’t wear so much makeup on top of your eyes, it doesn’t look nice. It should be more natural.” When natural was not what I had in mind. And the makeup lessons, dos and donts! No. Sometimes you like the intensity, freedom and rebelliousness of certain styles. That’s what’s awesome about punk and grunge. Even though I’m not a kid or teen, I love the emo look and when I was a teenager I found the punky fashion exciting. Madonna was the bomb in the 80s! She borrowed a lot of that messy, bold, yet sexy look. Debbie looked great. What a goddess she was.
@@charlieangelyoutube I often say to my daughter, we thought we were going to die in a nuclear war (cold war was still a thing) so there was a "party now. Tomorrow we die." feeling.
Luckily we were wrong! :) It was an interesting time. But we are living in an interesting time today too....
I love how chill your videos are, like conversational and you’re more soft-spoken. Reminds me of hanging out in my friend’s room getting ready to go to shows when we were teenagers. 🖤
I LOVE Debbie, she is one of my personal heroes. In Bebe Buell's book she recalled meeting her and said that it was at the height of cocaine crazy era and that Debbie was even more beautiful in person than in pictures (I don't know how that's possible!) But she said Debbie was just ethereal. Also Anthony Keidis met her when he was a kid and asked her if she'd marry him LOL
The two toned hair was really new when she did it and she said it was simply because she couldn't see the back when bleaching her own own hair, it wasn't so much purposeful. I just love that. also the zebra dress at 15:06 was made from a pillow case! Like I said, I just love her :)
Me too I love Debbie 🤩
David Bowie and Iggy Pop admired her too.
The video was beautiful 💖💕🌹I would love to watch a Janis Joplin lookbook next 😊🌻🌻
The gold shiny pants reminds me the most of that era. Cute.
loved this ♡ i'd love to see you recreate joan jett's look next !
That’s such a pretty bass 😊

Devyn. Please do any Dark Shadows (the original show...filmed in late 60s through 70s!) character or just general vibe. So fun! Love your channel
Yes, it would be cool to see her do Nance Barrett's character. Look her up Devyn:)
Love this look, and love Debbie Harry so much! She is one of my favorite female singers/icons. And I read her book, Face It, which I thought was really interesting :) I loved reading about her background and life.

Those gold pants are awesome!
You definitely can rock this look girl!!! You look gorgeous.
Your necklaces in this video are AMAZING! Where are they from??
Those pants screamed Debbie!! I love her look. The blush you did really captured her even more so then the beautiful eyes!! Which I love as well. I have such a hard time getting black shadow right .with the fallout and hooded eyes and just being 50 lol but gosh I love the look. I wish I could find that white shadow you use because I use a white every day in my corner eye. This was one of your best and looks like you really had fun!! Thanku Devyn !!!
You nailed it Dev!! Debbie is one of my biggest inspirations

Ps: Rockin the Debbie look ✨💙
You're so engaging and stylish. Groovy babe. 🖤🤘
I love this look! Can I ask what color boy brow you use? We have similar eyebrow shades and I'm torn between blonde and brown.
I’ve had the blonde and it was too light. I’d go with the brown for this shade brow.

Daniela London girl hey thank you! So if I’m remembering correctly what I was wearing it is a citrine from Modern Myth jewelry and the moon is as well, the little scared heart of Jesus is from Ana Luisa, and the star is vintage i thrifted 💖💖
