- Tarana is a type of composition in Hindustani classical vocal music in which certain words based on Persian and Arabic phonemes are rendered at a medium or fast rate. It was invented by Amir Khusro. In kathak we use Tarana also and it add a special flavour in Kathak Dance.

Kathak is a traditional dance originated from uttar Pradesh, India. kathak means katha / story.
Kathak dancers tell a story through their dance.
Tanmoyee Chakraborty performes here a Tarana which is Very important Hindusthani Vocal Genre adapted extensively In kathak in Nritya Paksh.
This Tarana is Based in Raag Bahaar and Drutt Teentaal.

Yeah but being faster doesn't make you superior, when we take a careful look on her performance then we will find out that her movements aren't so much precisely visible, so she gotta work on it because when we see Roshan Kumari ji in her Jaipur gharana her speed is on another level as compared to this girl but still Roshan Kumari jis movement is clearly visible and soft

Kya bat. Ja bollo tai kom pore jabe. To be amar ekta request ache seta ho lo amar meye (4yrs) k kaththak sekhanor khub ichche ache. Ami thaki Dakhkhineswsr e. Apni jodi kindly kono institution er sondhan den tahole badhito hobo. Ba apni jodi sekhan. Tahole khub bhalo hoi.

@@ocean_ika_ nah it's a mixed composition of Jaipur and Banaras Gharana and this one , I'm talking about the Tarana composition which she was dancing on , that was firstly created by Amir khusro and then being polished by another and another maestro's in their prime period

It was nice but plz slow down .you did way to many movement s . in the start you gave away to many moves too fast before even tar ana start . I think it should be very slow to go with alap . I hope you dont mind my feed back
