Winning a major reality show is not guaranteed to lead to an easy life, as American Idol victor Fantasia Barrino will tell you. Barrino won the third season of the singing contest back in 2004, but the thrill of victory may have been short-lived. Her father took her to court for her 2005 memoir Fantasia: Life is Not a Fairytale, unhappy with the way it portrayed him. In addition, Barrino almost died of an overdose in 2010, before being saved by her manager.
