    I wish the Tarrasque was better. It's supposed to be insane. I would imagine it having similar text to Ulamog, Infinite Gyre

    Ahh Deathgreeter. The eight pack that gives us life!
    Seriously, can we talk about how does a necromancer get so in shape. I guess digging up all those corpses all the time has its benefits.

    Gift of Doom is a favorite of mine, I run it in my Shirei Shizo Caretaker deck. It's a creature, protection, and a one time sac outlet. Fun card for sure

      Yeah, definitely a great card! I have it in a few decks.. slimefoot, chatterfang, syr Konrad.

      I love Gift of Doom for all that ... plus when you morph it and attached it doesn't target so you can attach to a creature of yours that has shroud! I use it for that very reason in my Horobi, Death's Wail deck. Love this card!

      @@petermason7221 woah I never realized that interacted that way! My Shirei deck used to BE a Horobi deck but my playgroup hated it 😂 they don't like Shirei much better, he's in the 99 of that 🤣

      Nice tech. I have A Shirei shadowborn apostle deck. It's the first deck I ever built for EDH.

    Final parting is such a banger on a budget! +1 mana compared to diabolic tutor, yet double the value.
    Harmonic Prodigy is one of my pet cards, best pair so far has been Jeleva (Grixis vampire wizard). She has 2 separate triggered abilities, so yes double the value.
    My personal pick for underrated cards is Riptide Laboratory 1U(T): Return target Wizard you control to it's owners hand.
    I like Wizards.

    Love these kinds of vids. Please continue this series.
    Also, Harmonic Prodigy is CRAZY strong. I have this in a few decks and it always boosts the power of several cards. Love.This.card!
    Finally, I believe Vicious Shadows is highly under-rated. I've never seen it in a deck other than mine in over two years of weekly game nights at my LGS. It always stomps, usually allows me to win, and everybody does the eyebrow raise and asks "What the F does that do??!!!" when I play it. Nobody seems to know about it, and it's not very expensive. Plus it's a "may" card so it won't affect your creatures or you can use it politically.

    • @kovala
      @kovala Před 2 lety +2

      Agree that Vicious Shadows is absolutely underrated and totally bananas. Costs a lot of mana but is easily abused and can often lead to immediate wins out of nowhere.

    • @thrasherftw
      @thrasherftw Před 2 lety +1

      Definitely going to try and fit vicious shadows into Kykar, and Tor Wauki the younger. Thanks for the heads up!

    Here’s one that I really think is underrated! It’s not for every deck, but it does work when you need it. And it’s draw 2 PER creature blocking it.
    Infiltration Lens {1}
    Equipment: Whenever equipped creature becomes blocked by a creature, you may draw two cards.

    I play Deathgreeter in a Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker EDH. Great combos with Syr Konrad, Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, etc. Come to think of it, Desecrated Tomb would fit in very well there, too...

  • @ericsmith3808
    @ericsmith3808 Před 2 lety

    Harmonic Prodigy is in my Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind deck! Even when not combo-ing with the commander, my deck has a lot of wizards in it that love to synergize with this card, it's a really big boon in any spellslinger deck since most creatures in that deck type are wizards

    Aether Flash with the old Elish Norn... I really wanna do that :D

  • @kingginger3335
    @kingginger3335 Před 2 lety

    Uncage the Menagerie is better for low cost creatures. It doesn't say " equal to X or less". So they have to be all the same cost equal to X. Which seems like it would be easier to build around with lesser mana cost creatures. X = 2 is still a really good rate, especially in Green. Also, if you're using it to search for lower CMC spells then you're not giving away the information of what higher cmc spells you have in the deck.

  • @scottricks1676

    could not disagree with this list at all!! I tend to binder build most deck from my collection and part of the fun is just sitting down and thumbing through the cards needed and read each one. Ive found myself using most cards on your list for the very reasons outlined. gift of doom is a black staple for me in sefris, nothing like getting that 4th sac trigger to pull out the reanimation sneak.

  • @houchyra23

    I love the gift of doom idea!!! And in my group of locals players it same to me that the card Mobrules is often forgotten, what a shame it only need a little copy and you take control of every creature, untapping and hasting them. Pretty brutal

      @@matthewhettel8316 thanks. Conspire is pretty tricky. I didn’t necessarily think it would, but the reminder text has “when” so it is a type of triggered ability. I suppose that’s more a trigger for conspire than a trigger of the shaman itself.

    Final Parting is an absolutely busted card! I use it to get Phyrexian Altar and Gravecrawler. Then for 3 mana and sacing another creature you get infinite etb and death triggers. I've even cast it on turn 2 before and won turn 3. Compleatly busted
