Noses used to be outlawed in that universe, punishable by death even, and so much time has passed, nobody really remembers what a nose is anymore. The old joke, however, still remained, showing perfectly how humans cling onto outdated, irrelevant traditions that they no longer even understand.

As much as I love this series, I genuinely hope this is the last joke in the asdf series, as it would allow the series to come full circle, finally ending it. I feel like it’s the perfect ending, and the canon one in my eyes.
