  • Join me in a thought-provoking conversation as we delve into what FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) truly means to Gen Z. In my latest video, we debunk common misconceptions surrounding FIRE and uncover its true essence.
Contrary to popular belief, FIRE isn't about ceasing work completely. It's about attaining financial independence to have the freedom to pursue work that aligns with passion, happiness, or even the choice not to work at all.
I emphasize the importance of embracing a personalized approach that resonates with individual values and life goals, dispelling the notion of a one-size-fits-all path to financial independence.
Don't miss out on this enlightening discussion that challenges conventional wisdom and inspires a new perspective on achieving financial freedom.

IMO one should aim for FI. The RE part is not that important and it can be dealth with when one reaches that stage. FIRE sounds sexy but it requires a lot of money, planning, sacrifices, etc. Everyone hasa different journey so FIRE is just one of the dozen plus ways to get fulfillment in life. Importantly FIRE or FI is not a remedy for your life or career problems, you still need a foundation and stable path to get some direction and focus.

My take on FIRE is that if someone is financially independent (FI) then they are automatically retire early (RE) as they don’t need to work for money… they can work the same job, another job, another career, part time, full time, or nothing at all!
I made this comment before also on your videos looks like your stance is same.

Ankur, I want your suggestions on this, just to know if I am on the right path or not. I am doing my bootstrap startup, and due to some bad circumstances, I have a monthly passive income, which is nearly comparable to that of a normal person who works for 10 to 12 hours.
My passive income mostly comes from rent, and I have seen from my grandfather that they have invested in very good real estate, which gives them monthly passive income, and they do not work then; also, they can live freely.
I am also thinking of investing in commercial offices or godowns to generate rental passive income, which can generate enough passive income to cover family expenses monthly. I should do whatever I want in life, but I should not put tension into earning money.
I am choosing the Real state because it is very safe. If something happens, like COVID-19 or an emergency, rent prices will either stay the same but never go down; they will always go up.
This is my F.I.R.E plan. Can you provide your thoughts on this?

    1. Sit a little bit farther from the camera so your nose doesn't occupy half the screen.
    2. Remove or lower volume of background music.
    3. Make subtitles optional.
    4. Don't keep saying GenZ GenZ unless you want to drive millennials away. No 30-yr old would like to be in the same viewership group as GenZ, it makes them feel immature and not successful enough. So don't spill the beans.

      1k invest in crypto.
      1k as saving.
And if you no knowledge about good stocks then don't worry just keep last 2k in index fund.

@@RajatSingh-du6fo any course that is relevant to your interests and field of study are good. You might also want to learn more about AI if you still haven't started on it.
If you have been taking courses, then maybe start attending in person seminars and workshops. The real value of workshops is in the networking that you can create by meeting other professionals. So connect with others and build a network.
And finally, consider investing in some life's experiences. If you have always been protected by family then start traveling with friends or maybe even alone when you are an adult. Meeting different people and learning about different cultures will expand your worldview and give you a maturity and confidence which is hard to buy. It will set you apart from other 22-23 year olds when you look for jobs, etc. All the best to you 😊

Don't you think Land is the best of the investments?
You seem to mock some people who was talking about buying lands. Land is actually the least risky investment. Even if stock market crashes, economy crashes there will always be the need for housing. It will give way more ROI than stock, mutual funds or anything else.

retirement is myth, one never gets retired infact responsibilities and expenses increase after retirement , majority of money goes in healcare. Just get admited for few days in hospital and then realize how much money goes in that every day 5 k to 25 k depending on ailment. And then empty mins is devils house all sorts of habits and over thinking will set in which in turn makes one sick with plenty of time and no goal. Stay way from retirement do something not for money or own sake but to make others life better and happy

The problem with GenZ is nobody finds value in working in a job and everyone is entrepreneur... But the fact is it's not one person, it's the whole generation thinking of not doing a job.. And businesses are not built without having people wanting do a job...
