Then the child realized it's fucking difficult to play and thinks about his decisions in life lmao
@@ameregal3499 yup, you can just be ordinary, or a musician (extraordinary).
Can't be both.

"No."
"But you seemed so satisfied with it."
"Yes, with my playing; not your piano."
I love how happy (and in mild shock!) the Yamaha rep looks the whole time, like he cannot believe this is actually happening and he's so content just being able to flip the pages and hear/witness this random customer flexing like hell lmao
piano sounds real fuckin good too. Gotta give em props. it aint easy to build, tune and move a piano. Lots of things can go wrong.
With each passing glance, he gained even more power and got even better at playing.
I love how the aunt just looked at the guy and made a face like
"I wish my son could play that"
I see you here after seeing you on coach gregs and dereks vids all the time...? Must be the matrix
I like how Asian parents are walking like "this is totally normal all my kids can play this"
@@amongusaurellia6264 Well... It's a joke. As an Asian myself I am nowhere offended nor is it too far.
@@amongusaurellia6264 I don't know how. Peoples in the internet can't change in an instant. You can't stop them. But I rarely make joke about asian parents.
@@amongusaurellia6264 Because alot of asian parents like mine and most of my friends and others, tend to have strict parents that wants their kids to achieve a greater peek at certain things by pushing them to the extreme. 🤣Asian elite pianist kids detected in every asian family🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s sad that more people can’t appreciate what they’re hearing. Most just walk by him. It’s not every day you witness talent like this.
I think there’s just such ease of access to amazing talent via the internet that people forget how exceptional and rare talented people like this are.
I think people didn’t realize a real human was playing live. So much talent… in Costco lol
Hey, everyone needs food and a 6 month supply of toilet paper LOL
Costco employee “So you wanna buy?”
Costco customer. “No I’m just test playing”
Honestly that piano has a seriously impressive sound, like you are playing in an open warehouse and the sound carries amazingly
Well he has a mic either on him or on the piano so that’s why it sounds that good
It's a Disklavier, it can record the performance as it's played to MIDI and/or audio file, so he will have got a copy of his performance and mixed it in with the camera audio. Clever idea!
Yamaha has really amazing piano sound. Second only maybe to Steinway's. It is almost as if they tried to copy Steinway's sound and succeeded.
The pianist himself is amazing, but how about a round of applause for the Yamaha rep following along on the music to know when the page needed to be turned.
He's probably a classically trained pianist as well, just too shy to flex like that.
I remember some years ago I was on the DC Metro and some guy was playing violin at the station, and it sounded amazing. My only regret was I was running late to meet someone and didn’t stick around for more than maybe 2 minutes, because I found out later he was Josh Bell, one of the most famous violinists in the world. Sometimes we really should stop and listen to the music in our lives.
No matter if that was Josh Bell or some random stranger, if they were playing extraordinarily amazing, I would stop and stay until they finish their piece!!
I AM SO JEALOUS. a writer for the Washington Post wrote an absolutely magnificent piece called Pearls Before Breakfast about Bell doing that that won the Pullitzer-- it's actually what introduced me to not only him, but the Chaconne, which is probably my absolute favorite piece of music that has ever been created. so i'm just grateful for even having read the piece-- i can't even imagine having gotten to see it in person, if only for one fleeting moment.
Well you would've gotten off at the wrong stop if you stayed 😅 that's a great story
“ok timmy, now that he’s done and you waited your turn you can play old Mcdonald”
I'm sorry for anyone who buys this piano after this... You're never gonna live up to the memory of her first lover
The younger one in the yellow hoodie and sweat pants watching.. then clapping at the end
Everything that includes Beethoven's name in it , is so out of this world...
How do you not stop in your tracks and just watch and listen to this ...incredible talent. Crazy what people care about
You have a life and a schedule to keep. People drive by car accidents all the time because stopping might mean they’ll be late for work. So, walking by a piano player is a very easy thing to do. Really, no effort at all
I don't appreciate it because I don't like Beethoven. That kind of music is just loud, obnoxious and screaming at me to put my hands over my ears.
How can people just keep walking by, like they're not experiencing a world-quality performance right here at Costco?? This is unbelievable!
Costco got mad free advertising there for their pianos.
Also... Costco sells pianos????!!
Depend on the Costco. The one in my city work with one of the music places in town to have their piano be sold through Costco
This is totally normal for Costco, hence why they even have demos. I've gone up a couple of times when I was younger.
every asian mother passing through with their children : "see... why can't you be more like him?"

Enough to step aside and weep like a widow
To feel inspired
To fathom the power
To witness the beauty
This made me cry, not only because obviously the music was beautiful, but everything about this video is just so human. I wish we appreciated each other more.
Seeing the mom talk to her son and pointing and explaining things to him about him playing made me so happy to see
I don’t know why people are saying this too difficult to play, I clicked on the video and it worked just fine....
By the way I play piano too
If I walk into my Costco, no matter how much of a hurry I'm in, and someone is playing like this, I'll stop and appreciate the skill, talent and humanity of this scene.
Me too and I would definitely feel inclined to use my ballet skills as well. It's really sad that so many have no appreciation for the arts and positive and enlightening culture.
I like the guy whose wife is pulling him away..."No...No...No...we can't afford one."

When we're on our deathbed I highly doubt anyone will say to themselves "I'm so glad that I completed my checklist" no way, you will only have memories and loved ones to comfort you ❤ I know this to be a fact because I worked in hospice.

Absolutely beautiful. To hear an instrument played the way it is meant to be played is such a privilege.
The mother holding her son with her hand over his heart is just…. all of this is what love is
This guy is playing at concert pianist level..
the different is after playing he will ask
"so, do you wanna buy a grand piano?"

Or end up like me....learned piano and ended up selling Cocaina for th3 zeta Cartel
fr someone there could be a future prodigy and we'd never know lol
I love how the kids stopped themselves. True innocense enjoying music. Beautiful
It’s always fun to watch these kinds of public recordings 😄 Partially because a good musician always adds a bright touch to a weary day, but also because of how the bystanders react. There’s always the people who go about their days and just enjoy the background music, and then there’s those who stop in the middle of the lane to appreciate the music and talent with their full attention 😊
That representative is like “this is best advertising we’ve done all month”
i like to imagine that the sales rep was an avid Pump It Up player back in his young days, reminiscing the good ol days
there are actually reps who actually hire people to do this, but ngl, this IS the best advertising
Imagine at the end he’s like
“Wow what a nice piano, I’ll consider buying it thanks”

This performance was EXQUISITE. I hope those shoppers appreciated what they witnessed.
Oh please. While his technique is quite good with strong fingering he is slapping the keys with little care or grace. Basically he's playing like one would play Honky Tonk style. Its loud and brash. I wish one of the many Costco’s I have visited had a display like this so I could have tried these pianos. I suspect this was a special sale event but the space that was dedicated to these baby grands was amazing. On very rare occasions I have seen a minimal spinet size model tucked away amongst the furniture displays but no bench on which to try even that let alone talk to a salesperson about it. This pianist was very lucky to find such a wonderful setup. Nicely played!
I like the idea of impacting multiple people’s daily life through music. Getting people to dance/feel the music just makes me happy

The mom should also say "if you can practice it slowly...."
I go to Costco a few times a week. If I ever heard anyone playing piano I would certainly stop and listen, yet probably 95% of the people just pushed their carts to do their shopping - amazing.
Wonderful talent - thank you!
"learn 40h a day or you end up like him" this made me so hard laughing
You really should try and do more or the in public ones! It’s funny to see other people’s reactions, (maybe after the virus tho). Also you are really amazing and I wish I was as good as that.

Great video... crazy how some people just cannot be bothered when presented with amazing talent. You better believe I'd be glued to this free show :)
It was fascinating that the adults walked by until that one kid stopped dead. The adults assumed someone playing at Cosco couldn’t be “that good” so they kept it moving mentally. The kid heard what he heard and he heard the truth. That dead stop took me out. And then it gave others pause. What a beautiful thing to exist. Thank you.
If he played in a dedicated room or in a concert... People would have listened. But because this is not the right place to tell you it's the good shit, people don't know.
Also people have schedules so...
Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and listen to a piano player at Costco once in awhile, you might miss it.
As an American I'm disgraced by the fact that nobody even cares. I would have been standing there staring the entire time. This is beautiful.
Can’t believe people are just walking right by
Without stopping, or getting off their phones, or even taking a moment to take in this miracle. Wow this is awesome👏👏👏👏👏Bravo!!!
Aside from some of the funny remarks, I have to say the gentleman’s level of play on the piano is truly amazing and rather very skillful. That should not be overlooked here.
