The main reason I avoid them now is of how far they've downgraded the doll; removing mobility almost entirely, eliminating several fan favorites, using cheaper materials (paints, hair, fabrics, etc.) to make the dolls, lowering their quality control, and making the dolls younger and taking away certain attributes of each characters' designs.

Yo, these comments are making me cry. This shit was my childhood, and as someone who’s always been an outsider and not really social these character were my life. I didn’t realise how long it had been since it ended and I miss it so much. I dug up all my dolls and I’m marathoning all the movies to just get a taste of childhood. I was in a really toxic and manipulative friendship and the fact that I had this growing up it part of the reason I was able to get out of it. MH taught me to be myself no matter what, even when people were controlling my whole life. So thank you Mattel for creating this fucking amazing franchise, but also screw you for horribly rebooting it and then cancelling it.

i dont understand y everything has to be abt kids nowadays. like dont get me wrong children r gifts but teenagers and adults have nothing now that MH is taken away for the kids’ entertainment. kids have everything. all their shows r perfect but MH was perfect to many ppl with the storylines messages and the designs. i watched monster high since i was 6 yrs old. all these businesses are companies r ruining all the best things bc the government and the rest of the generation is turning into snowflakes. if kids were “scared” of the original monster high then y did the parents let them watch it?!
sometimes shows have to grow up with their audiences, that was definitely something monster high failed to do.

I remember my mom didn’t let me play with Monster High dolls when I was little because she thought they would turn me goth so I thought I was a rebel and bad kid by playing with them at my best friends house whose mom let her have them.

Yo, these comments are making me cry. This shit was my childhood, and as someone who’s always been an outsider and not really social these character were my life. I didn’t realise how long it had been since it ended and I miss it so much.
I dug up all my dolls and I’m marathoning all the movies to just get a taste of childhood. I was in a really toxic and manipulative friendship and the fact that I had this growing up it part of the reason I was able to get out of it. MH taught me to be myself no matter what, even when people were controlling my whole life. So thank you Mattel for creating this fucking amazing franchise, but also screw you for horribly rebooting it and then cancelling it.
