As an English dude, I'd say Greggs is the perfect place to just pop into if you're walking around town for a quick snack. Not a full meal, just a sausage roll or a pizza slice. Bottle of ribena to wash it down. I usually do this on the way to the cinema to watch a new movie

I agree, even for workers too. Greggs fuels the working industry and actually has reasonable prices. Their coffee and bake deal kept me going on so many rough days at work.

What I love about Greggs is how it's great for any occasion and is so affordable. Went with my daughter recently and ordered a Vegan Sausage Roll, English tea, pastry (can't remember which) and a fizzy fruit drink - it was just over a fiver. If you'd bought a similar spread in Costa, it would've been comfortably £10-£12. It was also a really comfortable sit-in Greggs so was a really pleasant and satisfying experience all round.

You can have a bad Greggs, you can have a really good Greggs, the funny thing is that it's entirely up to you which one you have. If you're in a massive rush, maybe avoid greggs so that you aren't disappointed, but if you've got time to spare, all you have to do is wait around for them to bring hot ones out.
Best tip I can give, ask the server if what you're wanting is hot, they will check for you.
Another tip, if you're after a sandwich and its not there, ask them to make you one. Unlike the pasties and such that come frozen, the sandwiches are actually made fresh in the back.

Also i agree, the flavour profiles in Britishan food aren't nothing super crazy (beige is a stretch unless we're talking about home "cooks" from here who eat readymade foods from jars and tins and can barely season their food right) but my oh my, a piping hot classic British roast dinner is like a warm hug on a cold winter's day. Also, on the subject of cheese in the steak bake, they used to do a steak and cheese roll (similar to the sausage roll size/form/price wise but it had steak and i believe stilton cheese inside) and it was probably the best thing greggs made for a while.
If you're about in the UK for Christmas, make sure to check out the Festive bake, it's like a chicken bake on crack

Greggs is basically the top tier of classic British foods (obvs minus the pizza and a couplw other items), it's so simple and has mastered the craft of British food

During winter, last year at least, they had Yum Yums in chunks heated up with a hot caramel sauce. Honestly so good even if was very messy.
They did the same with cookies, but because it was new, the guy making it wasn’t too sure, messed it up and then just gave it us for free which was very kind of them.

Chicken and Bacon Baguette and a Steak Bake are a killer filler lunch combo (Tuna Crunch Baguette and Sausage, Cheese and Bean Bake are also awesome). On a cold morning definitely worth trying the Sausage and Bacon Baguette with some brown sauce. Why do I end up watching your videos late at night and then going to bed feeling damn hungry?

Its nice that Greggs is still decently priced. Sausage rolls are still sold for about £1 each.
I like Greggs, because its one of the few “fast foods” that you can get that is almost entirely British food. Actual proper British food really stopped being popular during and after WW2, so its great most towns have a Greggs or two.
