Thank you for this honest feedback which is made by someone who knows about RC. The biggest flaw for me is the suspension travel which is really too small, I hope this is corrected in V2.

Neat little truck. I hope the address the few issues. I'm in no rush to buy it right now. I played this pre order game with Rlaarlo. I'll pick one up off Amazon a couple weeks after launch at a discount. I hope they sell a bunch and decide to keep building bigger trucks and buggies.
I agree 100%! I also pre ordered a carbon at $250 and then got to see everybody get the sweet amazon deals....
Hey man I promise I'm not looking to sell you anything, but this truck was only available for $290 shipped when I first bought, and they've raised it to $300. Well currently makerfire is advertising $250 and they're offering a 7% discount I found through Google putting this truck at $230 shipped. Honestly a steal at that price. Fwiw. Omni Terminator all over again for me.

Looks like MJX is taking more time with R&D fixing the bugs, they've pushed the ETA it was initially at end of June now its end of July.

Well the White body is supposedly being shipped end of June on the MJX site but Makerfire where I have my order in its ETA is now end of July
Hypergorccar.com is still telling me they'll start shipping June 30

@armandopace6113 yeah I was super excited and not disappointed! They don't have all the kinks out quite yet and she's not super refined, but sure is a hoot and takes a beating!
Besides the receivers range, is the standard controller okay?
Yes it works absolutely fine and is very serviceable. The range isn't even all that bad, I just had trouble when driving it away from me at ~50mph. Its so fast it can get out of range quick. Check out the video here at around 2:50

I remember you replied to me that If.. there was a throttle (esc) delay, it could be fixed with the app.
Idk if its a transmitter or receiver or esc problem, but in some rc's (like the 1/16th scale hypergos), you can press the throttle on say a quarter of a full press on throttle, and keep your finger there, and the rc would never respond.. that being a dead zone (as opposed to throttle delay being it would eventually go). Is there a dead zone on this rc?

This truck doesn't have any noticeable throttle delay, like what was experienced with the 1/14 scales. Thanks for watching!

I haven't noticed this, and unfortunately ditched the stock system pretty quick for the ddf-350
Having the MJX 14210 V2 with a such a big range, using what appears to be the same transmitter, why would the 10208 perform worse than a previous model?
I'm not really sure, maybe it was just a glitch on my end, maybe they changed the software at some point?

The batteries in the controller have a huge effect on range. Not saying that is the issue here as I haven't watched all the videos.
For example I converted my DX5C to a 2s lipo and the range is better than with the 4xAA it uses from the factory.
If it's the Amazon version then it was made strictly for export so it wouldn't have to go by the same restrictions.
Is there a servo, esc, receiver that you would suggest installing on the h14bm? My daughter's is beginning to have an electric burning smell and all I can tell is that nothing plastic is burning so I'm ganna get extras in preparation for breaking? And at that point is it worth getting a different controller?
Honestly, those are all three great things to upgrade. Especially the esc to get rid of the lag, and the steering will be so much better. Here's my recommendations:

Oh and by the way, you HAVE to replace your reciever and transmitter together so they will bind and be compatible. You cannot do one at a time
@VoltUpRC thank you!! If the motor burns up should I replace or upgrade? And is a gyro worth it?
@stevenblackard2204 I haven't heard of many burnt up motors in these. I personally think the motor is good and bordering on too fast already. People do enjoy having a gyro option and it's nice that you can turn it on or off at any time. The dumbo recievers with a "g" in the part number have it built in.

Does your Dumbo rc have a gyro with it?
Yes it does! The gyro is in the reciever, and any dumbo reciever with a "g" in the part number is a gyro reciever. I'm using an x6dcg in this truck, but have not needed nor tried the gyro function.
