- The Buzzer BZ10 Espresso Coffee Machine has been great over the 2 years of ownership. Over 4000 espressos have been made. Now it is time for some over due maintenance. The problem was, why doesn't the Portafilter fit back in the Group Head. The answer is, the Group Head seal needed to be cleaned. In this video, I show you how.

Thank you for this video. I haven't deep cleaned my BZ10 since I got it 3 years ago and was nervous about doing anything big and not being able to put it back together. The step by step helped so much. Also for others looking to do this, my machine came with a small black brush with wire (or wire-like) bristles on it. I wasn't sure what it's use was but tried it out on the mesh filter with the metal filter piggy-backed to it and it worked like a charm. Avoided needing to use a knife or something to separate the mesh from its backing. Thanks again!
Glad the video helped. Cheers
many thanks. i just got my bz10, got it used. i found that the gasket is round. not flat. your video does really help
Glad it helped
this is exactly what I was looking for. I have a 2 year-old BZ-10 that needs some care. Thanks for taking the time to do this!
Glad the video was useful. Thanks for watching and commenting
thanks , this was also what I needed, worked a charm
Glad it helped
thanks for your video. changed my bz-13 gasket with your help. cheers
Great to hear!
Very helpful. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
it is far easier and more hygienic to remove the 3 allen bolts on top of the grouphead and clean the grouphead completely. To be honest with you I remove it , disassembly it and clean it in the dishwasher.
Great suggestion. Thanks
I came to this video to find ways to remove the o-ring, but there are a couple of things in this video that seem off... 1) Do not use a screwdriver to scrape your machine, use a cleaning brush, or you could potentially damage your group and 2) The shower screen screw is heavily recessed because it's been over-tightened. It shouldn't be a chore to get it undone, or you're just damaging your shower screen that way. I didn't watch the entire video, so these were the only things that stood out to me, but take care of your machine and it'll take care of you...
Thanks for watching and sharing your insight.
great video. however I'm afraid using abbrasive equipment will wear down the shower screen. perhaps you could use powder like Cafiza and hot water. Just soak them 2-3 min and let the magic happen
Thanks
Do you back flush regularly with espresso machine cleaner and a blind filter basket? Using scourers and screwdrivers to scrape away at an expensive machine is not ideal. That piece is called a shower screen too!
Thanks for the info. Yes, I do the occasional back flush. Thanks for watching and commenting.
So hows the BZ10 so far? likes, dislikes? would you buy it again?
Still scores high, regular use, 4-6 espresso's per day. Reliable, simple and easy to maintain. Low tech, high tactile satisfaction. Still recommended.
@@Adventure8 did u adjust the pressure? i find the factory settings a bit high.
thank you for the effort but it's so wrong on so multiple points: why didn't you remove the group head? no flat head screwdriver to remove the o-ring but a picking tool, no scoring pads to clean stuff because is building very small metal bits in every possible crack and hole. sorry, your effort is laudable but is wrong
