3:02 makes me believe that Destroyah is going to be in Godzilla Vs Kong because that's how Godzilla was hurt in King of the Monsters. They already said that they would be forced to team up after fighting each other so it makes sense to me that he would be the reason they need to work together.

My favorite Godzilla monster besides Godzilla himself. Destoroyah is such a badass villain and I love it! He was the perfect final villain for the Heisei Godzilla Series.

One of the most disappointing for me, especially that era's.
It also comes full circle. The original godzilla died by the oxygen destroyer while heisei Godzilla killed a monster made of the oxygen destroyer. That is a great moment if the godzilla series ended there it would be a satisfying ending

@Gugel Tolol All series have their postives and neagtives Showa has silly stories with a very loose canon but has great melee combat action that's smilar to a pro wrestling leauge of gian monsters, Hesei has a great continuous storyline but does go a little oveboard on the beam attacks, Mellinum finds a good balance between beam and melee combat but can't decide on what it wants to do so every film save the Kiryu dulology can't decide what direction to go with for the series. Monsterverse Godzilla is big, brutal and more animal like but it's all CGI now -_-, Shin Brings Back the Horor of the orignal on steroids but is also very weird and full of satire only fully relivent to the Japanese, Earth is weird bizare anime that unforunately went overboard for it's ending every era and series have strengths and weaknesses it just depends on what you like. Myself I still think Hesei is the best but I understand why some don't like it as much.
Its cool how Destoroyah has literally only ever fought Godzilla once yet he’s considered by many as Godzilla’s main rival. Even outweighing Ghidorah who as of right now has fought Godzilla in every single era save for the short lived Tristar era

Well ,destroyah did get a kill, just like how cell killed 16,but it's probably the worst evidence they have in common
Not only is this Kaiju similar to Cell in how his attacks and abilities are described in this video. The battle is played out in similar ways to Cell's fight with Goku and then Gohan.
Godzilla = Goku
Godzilla Junior = Gohan
Destoroyah = Cell
The differences is, is that while Destoroyah killed Godzilla Jr and then Godzilla attacked in revenge and that Godzilla Jr was avenged when Destoroyah was defeated. (Godzilla then died afterwards.)
Cell managed to kill Goku (albeit not in the circumstance that he expected) and then Gohan managed to avenge Goku by destroying Cell.
Godzilla's death managed to revive his son and he became the next Godzilla to defend the Earth from monsters when he was needed. Just like (at least for a certain period) How Goku passed the mantle of defending the Earth onto Gohan with his death.
The fact there's such a huge demand to see him in cgi form in the monsterverse shows how great of a kaiju Destoroyah is and how big of an impact he left on the franchise
Meh, he's a very good concept and I like Destoroyah, but it can be beaten easily by doing the same thing again...extreme heat and extreme cold used together, and it's game over for Destoroyah. I prefer King Ghidorah more.

My biggest theory has been that because the Oxygen Destroyer is a key component to next years film Destoroyah may appear as the actual villain of Godzilla vs Kong. Simply because that's how protagonist vs protagonist films go and in order to raise the stakes from even Ghidorah someone crazier has to be introduced.

I also think that Destoroyah has even more forms beyond the "perfect form” for two reasons:
1. Only a few juvenile forms merged to an aggregate form. So in theory, it could be possible to create a bigger form with more juveniles merging together. However, at some point, there would be a limit of its size. Since aggregate forms can merge, maybe even two perfect forms would have been able to merge, too.
2. Destoroyah only took Godzilla junior’s DNA to reach its perfect form. Maybe this form should actually been called "Perfect G-Destoroyah", "Perfect Destoroyah-G", or something similar. So if an aggregate form Destoroyah would be evolving by taking DNA, then there should be an endless number of Perfect Destoroyah forms like "M-Destoroyah" (Mothra), "R-Destoroyah" (Rodan) or even "KG-Destoroyah" (King-Ghidorah).
However, what would have happened if juvenile forms would have eaten humans? Would they have evolved to an "H-Destoroyah" or can only aggregate forms steal DNA? Moreover, can there be a pure “Perfect-Destoroyah" or even a "Multi-DNA- Destoroyah"?
With all those ideas, we could have the following theoretical forms:
1. Increased size Destoroyah with a size limit
2. Pure-Destoroyah for an evolution that never consumed DNA from others
3. One Perfect-Destoroyah form for each kind of DNA source from other monsters and maybe even humans or animals
4. Multi-DNA-Destoroyah, making it the ultimate lifeform and, in the end, the most powerful Godzilla monster ever

Destoroyah is probably my second favorite after Space Godzilla. He was unfortunate in battling Godzilla when he was having a meltdown. (no pun intended) Destoroyah would probably succeed in killing most other iterations of Godzilla.

They used the Oxygen Destroyer in King of the Monsters so there is a good chance he will appear in the Monsterverse.
Brenton Taylor the director for King of the Monsters actually DID want to use Destroyah in that movie, as well as Biollante, but his budget wasn't big enough for it. So having said that, there's a good chance that we might see these two in future films, especially since the oxygen destroyer was in the film as you said

I always loved how a 80,000 ton monster flys without flapping its wings. The good old days, before I understood physics. LOL!
The smaller Destroyah crabs were a force to be reckoned with all their own given their durability against standard small arms. They were hit with everything from 5.56x45mm rifle rounds, .38 Special pistol rounds, 9x19mm rounds from both pistols/submachine guns, 12 Gauge shotgun rounds, and 37mm Tear gas grenade rounds. It was only after being hit with anti tank rockets from an M72 LAW, high explosive from fragmentation grenades, and a steady stream from flamethrowers did they finally die. It makes me wonder how they would fair against higher caliber rifles though.
If they are in the Monsterverse, we're going to get some vivid scenes, probably inside a building or factory.
Meh, just use flamethrowers and they are easy peasy to beat.
If Godzilla is a metaphor for nuclear weapons, then Destoroyah is a metaphor for when nukes are rendered obsolete by something even more destructive.

I thought the same thing. He goes through several evolutions, each one being more complex and powerful than the last. The skin color is remarkably similar. Their beams sound ridiculously alike and both were stopped/killed by freezing weapons. Coincidence? I think not.

Destoroyah is a possible monster to appear in the Monsterverse.the oxygen destroyer was used in KOTM but,it was revealed very late into the movie. But,i think its quite possible to make it appear in Godzilla Vs Kong as a cameo in a post-credit scene

To be specific, rather than Godzilla himself, Destoroyah IS the second deadliest kiaju in canon.
Others say Kiezer Ghidorah is the second deadliest kiaju, but he was DESTROYED with Godzilla's urainium heat beam while Destoroyah survived most of Godzilla's meltdown nuclear fusion beams... soooo... DESTOROYAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!
Many people say destroyah is weak and not as strong as other kaiju but the fact he took on a super powered Godzilla is what nobody takes into account and is why I think he is around the third strongest enemy of Godzilla.

in the 90s:
Superman was killed by Doomsday, Batman had his back broken by Bane, and Godzilla was killed by Destroyah
In the Pipeworks games, he also has 2 additional abilities. A homing oxygen destroyer ball that pulls nearby Kaiju in before exploding. And also a ability where he shoots a blast of this same energy up into the air, and after a couple of seconds, the meteor like beam comes down from the sky and hits the target Kaiju, usually below their feet. Causing a lot of damage and knocking the opponent off their feet. Usually causing the opponent to fly a bit up into the air. However in both games, the ability requires much more energy or a rage powerup to pull off and is thus a rarer attack to see in combat.
Both abilities also seem to come out of his mouth, just like his standard beam.
In Godzilla: Save The Earth he also has some kind of very close range ice breath or something, which freezes the other characters. If you do that as the blow which would cause a KO, I believe the opponent will remain frozen lol.

Destroyah is my favorite godzilla enemy but my favorite kaiju is Zilla although the competition is close! Thank you for making this video because it helped me learn more about Destroyah.
I hope this is Godzilla's final opponent in the Monsterverse and it leads Godzilla in his most powerful state which is the burning state in KOTM vs perfect form Destoroyah, with Godzilla defeating Destoroyah and then leading to Godzilla's demise/death afterward.
This is a great example of when Godzilla movies have amazing villains.
If there ever was a moment where I can choose a monster to become, it would be Destroyah.

Destoroyah is definitely my favourite kaiju in the Godzilla franchise with the fact that he was created from the oxygen destroyer the weapon that kille the original gojira in the original film it makes their fight scenes feel more personal and his third form with the way he makes his entrance in the final battle and the implication of Godzilla dying with his burning form it makes it come off as if Godzilla’s literally going up against the devil himself so yeah destoroyah is an amazing kaiju if ever does make a comeback either in the monsterverse or the reiwa era I don’t think he should be improved either his design or abilities as he’s already perfect the way he is

one of the things I love the most about destoroyah is that he's basically godzilla's godzilla, in the sense that he is to godzilla what godzilla is to humans. Where godzilla is created by and represents the greatest threat to mankind, nuclear weapons, destoroyah is created by and is the embodiment of the oxygen destroyer, the weapon used to kill godzilla.
