Very interesting and some great fight scenes. This most of been filmed before the occupation as martial art film were highly censored from 1945 to 1952 when the occupation ended. I believe this was cut down by maybe 20 to 30 minutes. Definitely done on limited budget as times were tough in the mid and late forties.
Truly a great movie, to achieve victory without bloodshed is always a remarkable event, how sad that men without honor blame their evil deeds on others, hoping that their lies won’t be questioned, fortunately in this story, the truth became know because men of honor recognize men of honor, but sadly in today’s world, men without honor use guns and traps to kill those they fear, to win by any means, guns are so uncivilized, and what just as bad is evil people use wealth and position of power to gain more wealth and power, using others, like them, to achieve their goals….
And drones. In Ukraine, many soldiers on both sides lose their lives to missiles and bombs guided by drones that can't be detected in the sky, because radars would confuse them with birds. Utterly despicable.

日本映画スター数あれど、その気品においては伝次郎先生が最高峰だと。
この数年後の黒澤作品の虎の尾を踏む男達の弁慶を演じた大河内さんも良いですねぇ🎥🤗
実は「虎の尾を踏む男達」もこの映画と同じく1945年製作なんですよ。GHQによって上映禁止になって日本が国際社会に復帰する1952年まで公開できなかったのです。
この「血闘柳生谷」は1945年に公開こそされたもののGHQの命令で元は71分あったものを54分まで切り詰められて公開させられるという(しかもカットされた映像は現存してないとのこと)
ある意味「虎の尾を踏む男達」よりも過酷な運命をたどった映画みたいです。
進藤英太郎が出てるんですね。海産物の事業で大成功を収めて余裕ができて演劇人になったらしいですが
、よほど芝居が好きだったんですねえ。
昭和元年から映画に出てたらしいですが、日本映画の隆盛と衰退を身を以て体験した映画人でしたね。
大河内伝次郎、刀を握る左手を見ているだけで、ドキドキします
ねこはやはり立ち回りの豪快さに見とれてしまいます。
日本映画の黄金期に七剣聖と謳われた大河内傳次郎と月形龍之介に黒澤明作品の初期に携わった藤田進が出演した作品がYTにアップしているとは嬉しい限りです。
それにしても流石は「タンゲシャゼン」、台詞が聞き取りづらい。
そこが大河内さんのいいところです。
@@user-tp4kx5df9h 大河内さんは豊前訛りだからなのかそれとも滑舌が悪いのか将又その両方か分からないが言語不明瞭な役者である。役者として聞き取りにくさは欠点だが大河内さんの場合は逆に美点になっている。それに野太い声、鋭い眼光が大スターの威厳と相まって無比な存在として確立出来たのではないでしょうか。
ちなみに大河内傳次郎を題材とした本を古本屋で拝見した時に弟子か息子が「映画の時とは違い普段は聞き取れた。撮影の時は緊張していたからではないか」と述懐・推察していました。
右太衛門や大友柳太朗も今の感覚で聞くと滑舌が悪い
でも一番聞き取れないのはべらんめぇのときの大川橋蔵氏
ほかの人は巻き戻して何度も聞くと大抵は聞き取れるをんだけど橋蔵先生はわからない…
当時は滑舌が悪いって感覚じゃなかったのかな

刀が当たる時、擬音が入らぬ迫力。
カメラ･ワークも申し分無し。
音楽も出しゃらばず煩く無し。
これ以上に仕上げるのは思い付かぬ完全さに言葉無し。

どっしり貫禄がついたけど、跳ねる立ち回りにはサイレント時代の面影が
アラカンさんが近眼だから殺陣はこの人が1番怖かったと言ってたけど、槍だともっと怖いのでは
撮影は「三浦賞」の三浦光雄ですね。最初の四、五カットももう最高。スクリーンで拝みたいっ！
撮影技術の水準も昔の方が高かったかもしれません。
