What are the requirements for shooting these types of things? I mean, as i understand, the vfx team is removing the background of those shots and placing them in the scene, is that right? Or are they shot during magic hour because the shots where these are going to be used are filmed at the same time of day as well?
These plates were for the movie Rampage. I believe the FX team just composited the fireballs against blue sky. We shot all day long with several cameras, lots of different explosions, to build a library for them.
